  1. It's going to be unfortunate that there are so many useful posts on Reddit that will be/already gone.
  2. I had a similar set up, but instead I have mine configured as VDSL and Starlink set up in load balancing mode using PFsense. An old computer running PF/OPNSense would work in your use case.
  3. From what I've heard from peers, as long as you can keep the card cool during heavy load; you should be fine. But ofc, with the nature of blower style cards.. it will be loud, maybe if you can replace the cooler; that's an option too.. Afaik, you won't be able to do much; but keep the card dust free. You should be cool af
  4. Bit of a no brainer when it comes to adblocking these days since malicious ads are getting rather annoying lately :/ but ofc, it's nice to have pihole dns blocker if you have IOT or even something like a chromecast where you can't block ads.
  5. Just updated vmware workstation and tools and for some reason it worked. Thanks
  6. Sure thing, I'll give that a shot. I'll update this thread once I updated VMware. One thing I remembered though, I saw a very random post that specifies some sort of changes made on the .vmx file that made it work. But it's something I can't find anymore
  7. Sorry about the confusion I'm running windows 10 on my Host PC and I'm trying to run a windows 10 VM in VMware as I have certain tools installed in it.
  8. I've been trying to make VMware workstation 12 run my Windows 10 VM, but I always get this BSOD everytime I run it on my rig. Same BSOD appears when I re install windows 10, it only happens when I use windows 10 as my host OS. I've been scratching my head for the past hour now and I need windows 10 to run on my PC without any hitches. RIG(simplified) 6700 non-k Gigabyte h170-n WIFI G-skill 16gb DDR4 and yes, it's a one week old windows install ---------------------------Video Evidence -------------------------- Must watch
  9. Usually certain programs uses GPU acceleration. I'm sure steam does. At least yours goes down.. My 1070 stays at 1560mhz...
  10. If the new drivers doesn't work, try using older drivers. Maybe 3-4 versions down.
  11. Instead of re installing windows on a different drive, why did you installed windows on your Ssd again?
  12. Try going with PLE or PCCASEGEAR, they both offer pre made cushion built PC's
  13. I ordered one of this, https://www.ple.com.au/Products/608547/TP-LINK-WN881ND-300Mbps-Wireless-N-PCIe-Adapter I'm not sure if it's going to be a great option for you...
