  1. Given Christmas is less than 5 months away. RGB Computer Lights for the house controlled by a pc. Not talking about buying a set from he store. But getting those strips and jerry rigging the whole place so that when Computer games are being played the lights go into overdrive. Anyways just a silly idea.
  2. 19 when I built Cyrix 686 4 mb of edo s3 stealth graphics 1 gb hd with cdrom sb sound card jazz drive external and zipp drive external also with scsi card. Dad worked for iomega. Otherwise first computer was when I was 15 with a 486 dx2 50 mhz
  3. If you can find a good old Celeron you could have fun overclocking it using modern cooling.
  4. Sockiet 7 variant if I remember. Betting that is a k6-2 in their.
  5. Original Pentium in a socket 7 motherboard if memory serves me. Part of the reason intel went to slot 1 aside from the fact they needed to split up the Pentium Pro to a chip and board format so they could solve yield issues, was because AMD was making k5 processors and the upcoming k6 used the same socket. And Intel was sick of this.
  6. Ironically. Microsoft saw this coming about 20 years ago. But the US government really put a stranglehold on their ability to leverage their own software for this until it was too late.
  7. This is how they work. First you email them saying your cooler doesn't work. Then you email them a video showing it doesn't work. They then claim ignorance and want you to put the non working pump with a video of the bios showing the cooler pump not working never mind its dangerous to do that wiht your video card. Anyways the amount of negative reviews to positive on this is just not worth the risk. I made the stupid mistake of purchasing thInsert other media is and am still getting the runaround captain 360.MOV trying to rma this. Corsair is worth spending the extra 20-50 dollars on to get a pump/res combo that works and actually has an RMA department that isn't piss poor.
  8. Well, first post on this forum. Earlier this week bought a Asus Prime x370 pro board at Microcenter for 55 US dollars, then just bought today the 3700x for 340 out the door *Microcenter cc*. The biggest thing is just paying attention to which board has a good VRM. Mine is getting the full 4.4ghz with the AIO I am currently using with good Temps. The x570 boards are just in an odd place in the market.
