When someone posts a picture of their new born baby on their facebook page, do you start commenting "worst decision you ever made" or "looks like a ugly baby"? No. Of course you dont. You say congratulations, because they wanted something, then they got it and now they are happy so they wanted to share with the world.

Its not the same case? Well when somebody goes on holiday or goes and does a thing they enjoy, lets say bob went to a holiday to Spain, do you say "why would you go to spain that was a waste of time should have went to germany". Ofc you dont, he did something that made him happy and he is happy with what he has done.

Lets go down another notch and the same practice applies. Bob just got a new pair of shoes, hes really happy with them. He saved up for a while and bought them. Are you gonna start hating and being like bruh why u buy white shoes they so ugly they are gonna get dirty blah blah. No, he bought them because he wanted them to be happy and now he is happy - so be happy for him.

I understand clicky titles but this is straight up misleading. Does LTT think you should not use water cooling? I don't think so, and neither is it said in the video. But that's what this title suggests.

There was a video 3 years ago titled "why you shouldn't watercool your PC". That video actually said if and why you should not use water coolers.

This one has basically same title, except replacing "shouldn't" with "DON'T" (in all caps). And... It is a cooler review.

    +5v (red)  , ground (black ) , data - (white) , data + (green)

The data lines will be easy to figure out, they'll run very close together like this ===== to a chip.
The ground goes to ground, probably the copper fill on the bottom of the circuit board , you can figure out with your multimeter in continuity mode put one probe on the negative of a capacitor or the ring where you screw down the circuit board  and the other probe on the through hole you think it's ground ... if you get continuity that's it.

The circuit board may have holes for physical retention, rigidity, to hold the connector to board without stressing the pins ... those are usually connected to ground as well, or not connected to anything.

    Also there's 250 usb B connectors on Digikey : https://www.digikey.com/short/tw9hh981
Pick a few that seem to have the spacing between pins and the placement of pins and those retaining clips like yours and open the datasheet, and see those 4 pins and which is what - >90% chance brother didn't make things different just to piss everyone off.

For example second result in the link above seems close enough : https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/on-shore-technology-inc/USB-B1HSB6/2677744

The datasheet shows you the pins looking at the front of the connector :  http://www.on-shore.com/wp-content/uploads/USB-B1HSXX.pdf

And it shows how it would be on the circuit board :

and if you look on your circuit board, Brother was kind enough to even number the through holes with 1, 2,3, 4  - just outside the white frame :

The order is standard,  1 is voltage (red), 2 is data-  (white) , 3 is data+ (green), 4 is ground (black)

Don't sweat it, you like it, fix it. Every one has their own opinion. I don't agree with many things that get recommended on forums sometimes.

The switch you posted I believe should be the "correct" style (I don't own that mouse), but it is the common switch for most mice.  It is the China made version. Many people, myself included would go to a Japan made style when doing this. They tend to be more reliable. It will have a slightly different feel, and slightly higher actuation force. To me it's barely noticeable, but some people claim it feels very different. I had to put two mice side G502s side by side to feel the difference.  The switches I've been using are D2F-F the lack of the "C" means it's a Japan made switch. The Japan made switches are more expensive, but again, tend to be more reliable. I generally do left and right at the same time. I generally leave all the others alone while inside.

This is one of my Logitech mice apart, generally once you get them apart the soldering is pretty easy.

I have the same mouse, after a few years of use eventually the clicks will gone bad man, in my case even the scroll wheel also.
So i replaced it with Kailh Black GM 8.0.(Send it to a repair guy, since i don't have the time and soldering skills), works perfectly fine now.
So if it gone bad for real, you can just fix it yourself if you can solder it.

If turning MCE off helped, that likely means you had (possibly still have) thermal issues. Check your temps while gaming, there may be a deeper problem like incorrectly fitted cooler or something.

The Torrent got a reaction from Deadroth in do I need 32GB ram? and Dying Light 2 CPU usage 100%
What? If the gpu is at 80 percent, then there is no issue? Why shouldn't the cpu be at 100%, something has to be. What, it should be the 3080 rendering 1440p? No......

I understand if he said cpu is at 100 gpu is at like 10 or 20, but he said 60-80.

The DLSS he's running is also likely to reduce GPU utilization because CPU is already at max and gpu has headway.

OP try running the game at 4k, likely your cpu will still be at 100% and your gpu will get far closer to 100% as well.

The Torrent got a reaction from Deadroth in do I need 32GB ram? and Dying Light 2 CPU usage 100%
If your at like 12-15gb usage TOTAL, so just like the percentage at the top, then your likely fine.

If the game itself is getting to 15gb, the number directly on the game, i would recommend moving up to 32 if you want to start running extra programs in the background to.

The reason for the first point is, windows just reserves ram so often nothing can be taking up more than 1gb and your at like 80 percent usage, but when you run something which uses a lot of ram, windows will give up its allocation, leaving ram to given to the game.

But if the game itself is at 15gb. I doubt your streaming + windows will run in the remaining 1gb. I would upgrade.

EDIT: Sorry, thats the ram thing. i forgot the other thing.

If your cpu is at 100% and your gpu is at 80%, that is mostly fine. One of the two has to be at 100%, if not both, and the cloer they are to each other, the less of a 'bottleneck' there is. Of course each different application will but different amounts of load on each device, so its highly dependent. The amount of ram a game is taking up shouldn't have anything to do with your cpu or gpu utilization.

Edit: Oh if your stuttering, its possible that may be due to ram but could be a different issue too. Is it in most games or only in god of war?

The Torrent reacted to mariushm in Who am i paying yearly for my domain? And how can they increase the price yearly?
No, you're free to build up the servers you'd need to do the infrastructure and become your own registrar (like namecheap.com, godaddy.com etc) and then you can pay yourself for the domains you want and a small fee to IANA / whowever owns the TLD .

Or you could become the owner of a tld like .action , .aerospace , .peanuts  etc  you just have to pay a few hundred thousands or whatever and your company becomes the maintainer of the domains with the extension you own.
Then you could reserve some domain names with that .tld for your own use, and you can sell other names to whoever is interest. But, you'd also have to pay lawyers and people to maintain the database, settle disputes and so on.. it's not free.

Let's  say you buy a domain name  ex thetorrent.net and you use Namecheap.com to do it.

The registrar namecheap.com  reserves "thetorrent" with the organization that holds the .NET registry and pays that organization for the reservation and a small fee to IANA and the remaining amount is their profit for facilitating this to you.
Namecheap also gives you a free DNS service where their DNS servers are available to point your domain name to a specific IP address. So, you can right away add DNS entries to point your "thetorrent.net" domain name to your computer's IP address or to the IP of the dedicated server / VPS you rent in a datacenter.

As soon as the DNS entries change, the DNS servers of Namecheap "push" the changes up the chain to the DNS servers of other companies and the root dns servers and within a few minutes the changes propagate, and everyone around the world that wants to access thetorrent.net  receives the IP address and they can connect to the server hosting the website, or the FTP service, or whatever.

Without the free DNS servers, you could resort to paid DNS servers or you could set up your  own DNS server but as you're not that "trusted", the changes your DNS server would push would take much more time to propagate to the whole world, and it could take up to 1 day or so until everyone around the world is notified that your new IP address for the domain is 1.2.3.4 or whatever.

The registrar may also offer some other things that make that payment worth it, like privacy - when you buy a domain you're supposed to disclose your name and your address, so that if you do something illegal with the domain other companies can send you correspondence or contact you .. registrars offer services that make that anonymous , the information says "namecheap , po box whatever" or their phone number,  and they'll forward anything to your email address ... so you don't end up with people knocking at your door.

Maybe 15 years or so ago, when I bought my first domain and had a sort of a blog on the website, I didn't anonymize that info and had my full name and the town I was born in there, and someone from my country took the phone book and called the 6 families in my town with the same family name until he reached me , to ask me a technical question about what I wrote in the blog.

Luckily he didn't have bad intentions, but after the call, I made that stuff anonymous.
