  1. I had issues with it with the audio and pcie lane
  2. Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my pc for Christmas and not sure what motherboard to buy, I am currently using a ryzen 1500X and will be planning on upgrading to the 4th gen ryzen when it comes out. I currently have an ITX board (biostar x370GTN, (don't buy this board its awful)) in an itx pc but im going to buy an ATX board and get the NZXT H510 case. I'm looking between 3 choices and I need help narrowing it down because I'm not an expert at computers but some of you guys are and help would be much appreciated. I plan on overclocking my current cpu to around 4ghz because its old now and might as well. I don't want to get a premium x470 or x570 board because im not super into overclocking and motherboard tuning and I know there are cheaper b450 board but I want to get a good quality one that will get many years of use out of it. The three choices are: ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON (has wifi antenna, although I don't use wifi I do use Bluetooth headphones if this has anything to do with it) AORUS B450 ELITE (cheaper choice)
  3. Im probably going to go with 144hz. I like smoothness over high settings and I'm probably going to wait longer and save for a 1070 when the 2017 releases so it'll be cheaper. -close thread
  4. forgot to mention but the games I play I will not be able to get 144fps, maybe 100fps if im lucky
  5. The title says it all, please can someone make my hard decision for me. I've been gaming on a crappy TN 65hz panel for 4 years, I've never experienced ultrawide or IPS or 144hz. I used to play fps games but I've moved to "normal games" (Rust, Fallout 4, GTA) My GPU is currently a 750ti, although I'm probably going to upgrade to an Rx 580 (4gb) Here are the two monitors i'm comparing, 144hz | Ultrawide (both same price) PS. I like music and use FL Studio and make music, the ultrawide will be better for productivity but it's not a major factor in the decision.
  6. the case has 83 mm which is very tall for an itx vertical case like that so even the wraith spire will fit if you're super concerned with thermals. But there are better options if you do want to You will be able to overclock your cpu with the wraith stealth but only a little bit. for example, I used the wraith stealth on my 1500x and got 3.8ghz at 1.26v at 80 degrees load which is good for that tiny cooler. Because its an APU it'll obviously run hotter because of the graphics part but if you are wondering about the thermal performance of the cooler it is a very good cooler for the size and quiet.
  7. the wraith stealth will fit no problem
  8. ^^ Ive never experienced gsync or freesync or even ever turned on vsync and my games look fine to me
  9. 4k is out of the question because I don't "need" them for what I want to do and It will just be too overkill. thanks for the advice though guys! also the ultrawide mentioned doesn't have free sync, is free sync worth it or will I be able to live without it?
  10. Im probably going to go with the ultrawide because I've moved away from competitive gaming so I think 60hz will be fine, I do plan on learning to draw things on illustrator like vector art because it looks cool and I think I need good colour for that.
  11. just to clear up I can say with certainty you are allowed to film your experience on the rides with a securely fit camera at the theme park I work at(Chessington world of adventures). I'm guessing the rules are the same as the others because they're all owned by the same company.
  12. Basically, they say put your phone away because if you drop it we can't be arsed to shut the ride to get it lol, or if it hits someone. as long as it secured to you and you're not going to drop it you should be fine, even if they do say, just pretend its off or hide it until your on the ride because we can't do anything when your midway through a ride (or when it just started) your chest strap will be perfect, the head will be fine but you will look like an idiot the thing you cant do is when you get your picture taken on the ride from the cameras, you cant take a picture of your image on display even though there is a big watermark but that's the same for everywhere.
  13. thanks for the advice, I did find that monitor on my UK Amazon but it was only in white and my setup is black. Im probably going to go with the ultrawide because I won't be able to consistently get 144fps on most of my games even with a new graphics card, I did look into amd cards because of freesync and they are a very good deal but they output too much heat and my case can't handle that
  14. I was actually thinking of getting that ultrawide, but I was not sure if the 5ms would make a difference( probably not I'm not that much of a pro, I'm on a 2ms atm) or that it was 25inches which is very small compared to other ultrawides, I have been told that ultrawides are amazing I also heard that light boost helps with ghosting from high response time monitors so I guess that will fix any issues
