  1. They didn't get lazy, I still have the first card. I've yet to send it back lol. And tried that just now.
  2. The display shows no signal. Computer is still on and fans spinning. It's like the drivers fail. No, but I've gotten a replacement. This is my second new card. It did the same with my first card.
  3. Specs: i5-6500 Asus B250 M-A (Only some months new) Patriot 8GB Ram PSU is from some workstation, like 700w. Phoenix Pro SSD I bought a brand new EVGA GTX 1050 from amazon, (replacing my old HD 5970). It just fails under load, sometimes even just browsing internet. I can't play games; I can't run Kombustor (stress test it). -The screen will cut to black or just lose signal. -I've tried DDU a couple of times, reinstalling the drivers. -I've even completely uninstalled windows and reinstalled it, resetting everything. -I've ordered a replacement GPU and it does the same exact thing -BIOS is updated (1205) -Messing with the GPU clock settings doesn't do anything
  4. Currently, I don't have another PC to try it in. I might as well have return it and get another one. Since it doesn't seem this problem is very common.
  5. Actually no. On windows 10: Windows > Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Reset this PC Doesn't do anything. I've messed with GPU settings from lowering all clocks to increasing. Those settings don't seem to help.
  6. I bought a brand new EVGA GTX 1050 from amazon, (replacing my old HD 5970). It took me awhile to get drivers on it because of other issues that I have solved. In the end, I did a system reset. It works like normal now except when under load. I can't play games; I can't even run Kombustor (stress test it). -The screen will cut to black, or a solid color (Green, pink, cyan, etc.). Although I can still hear sound/video playing. -I've tried DDU a couple of times, reinstalling the drivers. -Occasionally DDU will work, and I can play games and stress test it again, until hours later when I turn off the game. Could the card be a faulty one? or is it a driver issue? I don't have another PC to test it on.
  7. To wrap this post up, I've solved it. (after BIOS update) I installed the old GPU, and using onboard graphics, I had to use DDU to uninstall all previous drivers of AMD (and nvidia). Finally was able to log into windows using the new Card. Got some drivers and it was a success (although I had some trouble with the drivers).
  8. Ok, so for some reason I haven't thought of updating the BIOS. I just did that. But it's still not working perfectly. When I hook it through the GPU, it goes past the Asus screen, but won't go into the windows 10 log-in screen. It displays a pure color across the screen (typically green). I can now get into bios with the cable hooked through the GPU though. That's progress, right? (After hooking to the motherboard) I can check my device manager and it says it recognizes the GTX 1050. I tried then installing drivers. It said it was successful > Restarted > hooked the HDMI to the card, but still can't get to Windows 10
  9. I've had a working PC for awhile. But my graphics card starting acting buggy. It was an old HD 5970. Finally upgraded to a GTX 1050. It won't POST with the HDMI into the video card. No signal on monitor. It works if I plug the HDMI into the motherboard for the integrated graphics from the CPU. -Asus B250 M-A -i5 6500 -PSU is taken from some workstation (like 700w) What I have tried: -Resetting CMOS on bios -Disabling Onboard Graphics through device manager -Selecting the video to PCIe in the BIOS -Selecting the video to CPU in BIOS to see if the 1050 shows up in device manager (Nope) -Installing drivers (won't let me) I can't install Nvidia drivers because it doesn't recognize it on my system (I'm using iGPU). I can't get into my PC when I connect it to the graphics card, so I can't install drivers that way. Any other way I can install the drivers?
  10. I tried looking this up but I couldn't find a straight answer. Due to the positions of the standoffs and the size of the PSU, the side of the MOBO is touching the PSU. Is this a bad thing? My computer was fine for about 2 months or so, but then out of nowhere, my motherboard failed on me. I bought a new one, and I want to make sure it doesn't happen again. Should I get a smaller PSU, or a new case?
  11. Well it looks like it's the motherboard. Friend gave me an old computer; I tried the PSU of the old PC on my build, and didn't work. I then tried my current PSU onto the old PC, and it worked without issue. Thank you for your help! guess I gotta go buy a new motherboard now.
  12. Roger that. So you think it may be the PSU that needs to be further diagnosed, correct? (even though the fans spin when I press the reset button on the PSU) Also some more information: At times when I plug the power cable to the PSU, I hear a quiet, but high pitched screeching noise coming from somewhere in the motherboard. I'm unsure where it's coming from. It stops after a few seconds. It's not like the usual beeping a MOBO makes. Not sure if that matters at all but I had to throw that info out there.
  13. I only have 1 available. Should I get it tested somewhere like at Geek Squad? or find some other service?
  14. From my understanding, I tried it and it didn't work. I connected the PWR pins on the MOBO via a screwdriver. Nothing happened.
