  1. IDE is a parallel interface while USB (Universal Serial Buss) is... serial. You are looking for a Parallel-to-serial converter/adapter, not just a cable with the right ends. Something like this: https://www.takealot.com/usb-2-0-to-sata-ide-multi-hard-drive-adapter/PLID49127081?gclid=Cj0KCQjw08XeBRC0ARIsAP_gaQBIVV_bg_MhG-fAEIXaasUZUP-Sky3aIyyoiakHzzEX5kHIH9oagqkaApZdEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds Is it like a motherboard, are there no USB headers on it ? must be ancient
  2. Hi For this specific keyboard, does anyone know weather the switches are soldered in on the pcb. or are they "clip in" on a socket on the pcb. ? Just curious before I open her up and have a look.
  3. 3! Put OS and frequently used programs on SSD, everything else goes on Hdd. (also remember to set Steam default install location on Hdd.
  4. Thax! That is what I did, Googled for it, Just wanted to know if the results are legit, being free and all
  5. Hi everyone I just got a new 2560 x 1440p monitor, it is lovely thanx for asking, but where does one acquire true nice WQHD backgrounds ? https://www.asus.com/za/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG27VQ/
  6. Yes that is a member of the Blister beetle family, Meloidae. Mostly harmless but some species the can secrete a substance that may blister the skin if you piss them off. The live mostly on plant and feed on other insects an/or their larva. It is totally not like them to burrow under your skin. Thy probably just trying to hide
  7. No Yes If you don't want to use any normal keys for macros. The k95 has a few extra unsigned keys that you can program dedicated macros with, but you can do that with almost any other normal key on STRAFE and K95 as well with the iCUE software. You always have keys you don't use in a game or program to assign macros functions to. That is why is is good value because of all the extra functionality an very good build quality
  8. Yes, you won't ever need more than the Strafe. It will last you a lifetime. the rgb flavor is the Corsair RGB Strafe - endless customization options and powerful Macro functions. I love mine and would recommend it anytime
  9. Is anyone currently using this monitor ? https://www.asus.com/za/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG27VQ/ How is it ? Any really bad or annoying issues with it that you only realize after using it for a while? I'm upgrading from a 60Hz panel and have a GTX 1070 in my system
  10. No 1 Must be for a Floppy disk – 2.54 mm pitch, 34 pins, 2×17 (2 rows of 17 pins) -This thing is ancient
  11. Those huge old PATA Hdd's with the ribbon cables uses a 40 pin header connector.
  12. Yes indeed. I meant the other one at he bottom of the card is an oldschool 40 pin Parallel ATA HDD header for ribbon cable
  13. Hehe, you must not have been around long enough to have never seen one of these, but I agree it does look similar to a USB header. Not sure about the others but no.1 is an old-school PATA (pre SATA) HDD header, so yes it might be part of some old DVR system.
  14. If you are worried about that then see if you can find where the electricity is leaking out and try to plug the hole. Are those other objects in your home also made from Acrylic ? I think not, so they don't accumulate a static charge and thus you don't feel tstatic from them.
