  1. Hey thanks for your replies guys. I’m currently stress testing my overclock at 3.8 ghz running at 1.3 volts. Paul’s hardware was really helpful as well as you guys. I’m about five minutes into the stress test (using Aida64) and it’s holding 69 degrees Celsius pretty steady.
  2. Hey everyone, I just decided I want to overclock my cpu. I know how to go about it and I've even ordered a better cooler for my cpu because I know temperatures will spike as well. I was just wondering what temperatures I should expect at idle and under load (running a ryzen 5 1600 non x, 16 gb ddr4 3000 mhz, msi b450 pro m2, gtx 1060 6gb, 550 watt psu.) as I saw someone having a meltdown once in a discord server about their cpu being at 70 degrees celsius. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
  3. So I've had an AVC cpu cooler running on my i5 2400 and it's kept it pretty cool. I made the choice to upgrade to 16 gb of ram, an rx 580 8 gb, and an i7 2600, after being told by someone on another forum that tan i7 2600 can handle an rx 580. My question is will the AVC cooler keep the i7 2600 cool enough and will there be any bottlnecking issues with the above mentioned setup? Any help is appreciated as always. The AVC cooler is stock from a lenovo m92p thinkcentre by the way.
  4. I thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. The thing I don't have Vonage anymore. I have switched to Xfinity for phone service and did infact notify Vonage of doing so when I did switch to Xfinity.
  5. Hey all I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong section first of all so please forgive me for that. So my landline phone number started out being an Att phone number which my family then got ported over to Vonage. After a few years of of having Vonage running off of Att internet we switched to Xfinity and bundled internet, tv, and phone service. Here is where the issues starts. Tv and internet services with Xfinity are fine. The issue I'm having is people that have Vonage that try to call our landline cannot get through to us but can get through to us if they use a cellphone and dial our landline number. We are able to make calls to those Vonage users and they are able to receive our calls and have a full on conversation with us. Those same Vonage users that cannot get through to us can get through to other landline users using other landline service providers. At this point, we have had the "highest Xfinity tech come out to our home" according to the customer service representative I spoke to and they haven't found anything wrong in the way they made the connections at my house and neither can they find anything wrong anywhere else. Same goes for all the people using Vonage that are having a hard time getting through to us. A big thank you to anyone who takes the time to read and respond to this.
  6. Hey Everyone! Been Gone a while but its great to be back. So I've been hearing about IPTV (I know what it is but I don't know how it works, if its legal and all that other stuff which is what I'd like to inquire about) from a lot of family friends. I've seen some of these IPTV boxes but quite honestly I don't even know what I'm dealing with. Anyways I've been really curious as to whether or not if anyone could give me some info on these IPTV boxes. Are they any good? Are they legal in the U.S? Where can I get one? What channels can I expect? What boxes would you recommend? Can I get Asian Channels as that's what my parents watch? Thanks for all your help everyone!
  7. Hi all! My freiend has a dell xps8700 (I know...) and he decided he wanted to start editing in 4k (I told him about the human eye being able to differentiate between 1080p and 4k). As far as I know the xps8700 came with an i7 4770 cpu, a 7 series gpu, and 8 gb ram. Question being, is a system running and i7 4770, a gtx 1070, and 32 gb ram capable of editing in 4k?
  8. Thank you so very much for your time. I was puzzled tbh. I probably never would've figured it out myself.
  9. I've decided that I want to upgrade to an i7 4770 as its still pretty decent imo and its priced pretty ok if you buy used. I just need help finding the correct chipset motherboard as I'm confused between H81, H87, and z87. All I know is I need a motherboard with an lga 1150 socket and 4 ram slots. Most likely gonna be going used so whatever is the cheapest option that has both the socket and the ram slots will do. Thanks for the help!
  10. looking for lga 1155 i7s. filtered on ebay to show lowest price first
  11. Lol they're all over ebay. Used ofc but hey its ebay.
  12. So the current rig I'm running has an i5 2400, 8 gb ram (2x4 idgaf hate me), and a gtx 1050. Would it be worth it performance wise to move from the i5 2400 to the i7 2600? Can get it as cheap as ten dollars. The i5 works just fine its just that I've run into some money being an unemployed college student.
  13. Thanks so much for the help everyone. Means a lot. Was panicking there.
  14. So I just bought a lenovo thinkcentre off of amazon because well it was a great deal. I need help figuring out if the 240 watt power supply in the thinkcentre will be enough to power the i5 2400, 8gb ram (2x4) at 1333 mhz, the 2 tb hdd, and a gtx 1050 low profile non ti. Yes I know I can use pcpartpicker for calculating wattage I would just like a second opinion.
