  1. Yes I would like to know too. I am interested to know the products used. I think watching the video again Linus references display ports so perhaps its display port in the wall along with purely USB.c over fibre which is for peripherals and audio. So i dont think its HDMI over optical at all. Edit: Did some hunting this looks like the Icron product used for USB over fiber. https://www.icronshop.com/icron-brand/icron-raven-3124
  2. Alas you are correct. Its just a sigh moment when you like oooh yeah finally go oh that's ALOT. More than the RRP for a ROG 3080 strix. (single tear)
  3. I know, i know 30 series cards not being in stock is a spicy and very real meme (I'm still waiting on a 3080) but OverclockersUK are just as bad as scalpers with their prices. This and 3 other gigabyte cards went up for sale earlier today (03/03/2020) for well over the RRP scalpers on ebay are selling for similar to less than this site. I know you can make the supply and demand argument, and you would be correct this is just a big cringe with these prices. This is rough now that supposedly 'reputable' UK store is selling for this price. Attached is screenshot of the store site after they all sold through in under 3 mins. Also Currys/PCworld with their price. Just be careful fellow UK Humans. Well anyway hope everyone is well.
  4. yes i have its max boost in synapse and drivers are up to date.
  5. Hey Team Im having this issue where my microphone even when it is by my mouth is still harldy picking up when tralking normally on the "test you microphone" section of windows audio settings. This is also effecting the Discord level where it would hardly pick up my voice even if i was talking normally with the microphone basically in my mouth. The Mico boost is at 100. When i test my mic on discord and it plays back to me it is fine and clear. yet test my mic still shows its hardly being picked up. I have searched for an awnser on google but they all say Mic boost or download somthing. This wasnt an issue for a good 6-7 months then it happened with my old pair of headphones that were plugged into the Mic and speak 3mil jack point. This new pair whitchi it is still happening to is USB. attached images showing the differences. Please help Thanks
  6. yeah for the ryzen mount it is only 2 screws and i have it down tight not REALLY right but to a point it doesn't turn anymore with had tightening
  7. oh yes all plugged in went through it and checked many times there alot of cables coming from one pump
  8. Howdy folks So where to begin. I got a new job much better pay check so i thought its time to upgrade the pc. So i went out and bought a AMD 2700x and Asus Prime x470 motherboard along with the Lian Li o 11 case and a shiny corsair H150i. so im putting it together and get to the stage where i am mounting the cooler. My Christ it is one fiddly son of a gun to fit to but i get it on and tighten it down next i plug everything in following the instructions and i i finish the build. so comes the moment of truth i fire it up... ooooooh pretty lights wait hang on the 3 fans are spinning ok jump onto bios, ok temperature is around 30c - 37c not too bad i am unfamiliar with the idle temps of a ryzen but of my common knowledge this is good. i look at the cpu fan OH my its at 100%... ah yeah thats because it is a 3 pin fan connector from the pump to the board ok fine that must be that way to get around the cpu fan error. Now onto windows. i load up Icue huh its not found my cooler. hmm ok look under device manager yup there it is plugged into the usb header correctly. hmm ok do a quick google search and, ok i need Corsair link as well. so i go and grab that. fire up corsair link and boom it shows in Icue and in link......... hang on a second HOLY MOLY AMD Ryzen package temp 101c What the hell why arnt the fans spinning up. i jump into Icue and change the fans to performance and nothing. oof this aint good quickly shut down pc. ok breath right lets check mounting nope this is fine hmm im going to re-seat it and swap the thermal paste out for some of my own Arctic silver. i take off the cooler and find the thermal paste had dried up (see picture) oh my that aint good clean it all off and apply my new paste and re-seat the cooler. Power back on fans still not spinning on radiator. load up link again and woah temps are way up still 75c - 85c. (see screenshot) ok this is weird so i check online people say get ryzen master. ok i was going to get that anyway but these temps are scaring me so i download that and i met with 28c - 38c oh this is better!! (see picture) right well panic over.... ish. why is it Link is showing one temp and Master another. I am now aware i should defiantly trust Masters temps but come on Corsair What the hell is with that. so my questions: is there an issue with Corsair link and Ryzen 2700x? and why arnt the fans spinning up on my radiator attached to the H150i pump headers? (Does Ique run the fans based on coolant temperature if so where is the temp for that) Thanks for your time
