  1. A great suggestion, it looks pretty much perfect for my needs. Will probably have a look at some reviews and see if I can find any good deals for it. The 1080 screen will do, on a screen size that small I personally don't think a 4k panel is worth it.
  2. Yeah, glossy might be slightly better. Not a dealbreaker though!
  3. Hey guys! I've basically been going crazy trying to find a good laptop for creative work at my university. As a student, I'm basically looking for a good ratio of price/performance, yet I still need a decent amount of horsepower for the work that i'm going to do. I have not had any luck so far in finding the ideal laptop for my needs, and I now feel like I could use a little help from you people on the forum! Important thing is to not recommend me a specific deal from a website, but rather a decent laptop itself. I'll find a good deal for it on my own. Here's what i'm looking for: Portability Core i7 (preferably 6 cores but 4 cores is ok) Dedicated graphics (MX250 or better) SSD (256 GB minimum) Color accurate IPS Panel (preferably a decent coverage of the adobe RGB space) Capability of smooth work in Adobe: Premiere, Photoshop, After effects, Illustrator, InDesign Budget 1000$-1500$ USD Available in Sweden (So no fantastic deals on Amazon or Newegg etc, since the shipping will be too expensive and the laptop won't have the right keyboard layout) I know these specs are pretty hard to find a good deal for, and I am open for suggestions to make certain compromises! :)
  4. Just had a look and the G5 honestly looks pretty good! Thanks for the tip.
  5. Prefered weight is about 2-3 kg, for web browning hours at least 4h. Some online stores are: https://www.inet.se/ https://www.komplett.se/ https://www.netonnet.se https://www.mediamarkt.se https://www.elgiganten.se/ https://www.amazon.co.uk/ (perferably not) Unfortunately the sites are all in swedish, I hope that this will not be too much of a bother
  6. Hi! I recently got accepted into a university for a digital image production program (3 years in Sweden). The school suggests to bring your own laptop and therefore i now need to purchase one. Use cases are for animating, graphic design, image editing, movie editing and tiny amounts of gaming (if i ever get the free time). With that said, the school had some recommendations on what specs to look for: Intel Core i7 Processor 8-16 GB of memory (At least) 256 GB SSD Nividia Geforce 1060 GPU or similar Can any of you recommend a solid laptop with specs similar to the ones above? It doesn't need to be a "flashy" gaming pc since i will be using it at the university mostly. I'd honestly prefer one with a sleek and proffesional (not over the top) design. I have done some browsing myself of course, consindering the Dell Inspiron 7000 as an alternative. However, i wanted to get some feedback from the community since i might have missed some good options out there. Dell Inspiron 7000 link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-Inspiron-15-6-inch-Anti-Glare-Gaming/dp/B06VV992PY For this, either the configurations: (Intel i7-7700HQ, 256GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1050Ti) or (Intel i7-7700HQ, 512 GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1060). The laptop needs to be able to be shipped to sweden, and preferably i want it to cost below 1500$ US (don't be afraid to recommend slightly more expensive ones however) Thanks for the help!
