  1. I am basically placing an offsite computer in a building that I just need to be able to remote access into. However, I have to fly to this location so basically don't want to have to fly there just to reboot it etc. Going to use a small rebuild, thinking of either a new Mac Mini $500 or a similar Intel Nuc. Originally thinking the Nuc but may do the mac mini just for the stability etc (Thoughts?) However, the main question is how do I make sure this never shuts off. Any recommendations on like an Ethernet Power switch? (Maybe something like this? or This / open to ideas) I should be able to just maybe schedule it to reboot once a day or do it manually when it shuts off, then have it set to boot on the power outage and have Teamviewer etc open on bootup. (Would like to have it all connected via ethernet) Is there anything I'm missing on this setup? Any possibility of shut off that I am missing?
  2. Ah yeah your right. Mine has a ARGB header, didn't know there was a difference thanks. I guess Ill get new fans. I'm guessing there's no way really to use the existing ones?
  3. Hello! I made my PC a while back and used these fans here. I have a Asus Mobo and RGB trident Ram. I'm trying again to get the RGB to work via Asus Aura. I can fully control the RGB on the mobo and the ram without problems. However the fans are a different story. I used the included controller back when i built it and that worked.. but only with the cooler master software which couldn't sync with aura. Someone on here told me to use RGB splitters which I did, but its never worked, I could never get them to show up on the Arua software. The fans are still stuck at the same color they were back when I had the coolmaster RGB Controller I've tried to plug in just one fan directly to the header as well and no luck. Just that same color. I included a pic of what the aura shows, It is like it does notice the fans under the rgb header but it still never changes color when i use the 'sync all' Any ideas how to get them to work with the RGB header? Thanks! Grant

  5. This is probably not possible but at I basically need a thing to stream from an HDMI cable output onto the web (not twitch, youtube etc.) because tis for security cameras, I don't know what platform it would go onto but anything would work and i could host it if necessary. Thanks
  6. Hey guys this is very off topif lol but I'm doing a marketing project for school and was wondering if you could fill out a quick google form for me it will only take a minute and doesn't collect your email. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSchg7_0TZ1MbFqmKVf6sKl9txRGXh058wIFOXMDA8jLygDIyg/viewform?usp=sf_link thank u :D

  9. Hi! I'm looking to do raid 1 (aka mirroring) 2 Samsung 500gb (2.5 in) SSDs in Windows 10, and my motherboard does not support it, I was wondering if I could use a RAID card to have this feature. Would using this card work ? Mobo Link thanks for any and all help!
  10. I got the new MBP, one major thing to me is the cooling on this, it is so well deisgned (on the 13in) two fans, pretty much can do most normal things at 90 degrees F. They have a very well designed case, and the resale is a ton. (i got a MBP 2011 and sold it on ebay for $200) andI personally like Mac Os. Battery is pretty great as well.
  11. Turn it off when your not using it... Can you not uninstall cpu manager? It will only start to hurt you pc if it gets hot like greater than 75-80C
  12. If this is a gaming PC, Ull be fine with an i7, yes an i9 is better, hence the price, but you'd have to get a new mobo. imo isnt really worth getting the best of the best, you'd probably not really notice it. just get something mid ranged.
  13. Pretty sure you should just spent ur optane budget on a better ssd, I was thinking for the same thing you were, here was my discussion:
  14. Yeah I'd agree apple has been declining, I did just buy the new 13 in MBP, It is about $600 overpriced but Idk i still like it,I do have to compliment apple on their cooling of this. The processor runs under 100f under light loads. It is an i5, but its been working pretty good, as I'm used to a 8700k PC.
  15. Yeah I have a light switched hooked up to the outlet the TV's are running from to turn them off and on. Yea I did try the remote that does work so thank you so much for that! but I would still like to just have the ease of using that light switch but I understand if that is just not really possible.
