  1. I was using this little box that converts multiple audio cords into one usb and does 7.1 surround sound. I tried booting up a game and suddenly all the speakers were working fine. It just doesn't seem to like YouTube very much
  2. I have a newly built pc with a 7.1 Surround Sound Box for audio. I have 3 amps plugged into it (Front, Side and Rear). I configured the sound in playback device settings, and surround sound worked fine during that. But when I try to use surround sound to watch YouTube, etc., only the speakers connected to the front speakers port does anything. Can’t seem to make it use the other speakers as well. Any ideas?
  3. This has also created other problems such as when I turn the computer on I have to unplug the keyboard and mouse or else it will just be a blank screen. Also, there is an led light strip that now makes a whining noise at the usb hub when plugged in.
  4. So I’ve been using this usb hub with my computer for a while. I decided to switch the power supply strip to a budget smart strip. Well this caused lots of errors about a power supply surge to the usb port and I was forced and how it couldn’t supply rhe necessary amount of power. Of course I switched back to the original power strip but now I’m still having issues. I can only plug a few things into the usb hub before it starts malfunctioning and certain peripherals don’t even power on. I tried buying a new usb hub but it has the same problems. I’m assuming this is now a problem with the usb port (on the motherboard) but how can I fix it?
  5. Thanks, I kind of just threw $2000 out there as a max although I'm building this computer for my dad so I'd like to spend as little as possible. I will be installing the pc into a virtual pinball cabinet so no need for a case.
  6. Budget (including currency): $2000 Country: United Stated Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Running Virtual Pinball at 4k 120. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I will be installing the computer into an existing pinball cabinet so there Is no need for a case or fanes at the moment. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Awesome390/saved/h4jxgs
  7. Budget (including currency): 1500 I guess Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Running Virtual Pinball at 4k 120hz, possibly with ray tracing. Other details https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Awesome390/saved/h4jxgs I already asked about this build once but then someone told me it wouldn’t do 4k at 120hz and that I was ‘Budgeting poorly’. Is there any thing that I should switch up here. I’m not trying to change the computer around entirely, just wondering if there are any parts I should change. I would prefer to keep the 3070ti as I’ve heard that’s what you need to play Virtual Pinball on Max settings.
  8. Thank you so freaking much! I had been trying to do that for over 2 hours!
  9. In windows 10, I just right clicked and clicked format
  10. Basically what the title says. I’m trying to find a free way or software to help me recover data from a formatted hard drive. I’ve tried plenty of stuff but it is just extremely expensive for a one time use. Thanks in advance!
  11. The reason I have to stick with the chosen monitor is because it fits the dimensions of the pinball cabinet.
  12. I am definitely changing the CPU, probably to a Core i5-12600KF, after that, I'm not sure which motherboard to go with, but ill look into it.
  13. Upon further inspection I think this might be a better motherboard for my setup? https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ROG-Strix-Gaming-Motherboard/dp/B086QSH67R?dchild=1&keywords=ASUS+ROG+Strix+Z490-E+Gaming&qid=1611913618&sr=8-1&linkCode=sl1&tag=bullseyerevie-20&linkId=e050598eda5bbcf77ef5f10c90129b3d&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl Trying to keep within the asus theme somewhat, since it seems like parts from the same company usually have better compatibility. There are some MSI motherboards that are cheaper though so maybe that would be a better route.
  14. Budget (including currency): $1600-1700 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Virtual Pinball Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Emulating pinball games at 4k, as close to 144hz as possible, while using raytracing. Also will be used to run two smaller monitors in the proccess. I just posted this like an hour ago but messed up my list so here is the actual list on pc part picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gCBPhk Some people on the last post said there were old components, such as the cpu. Is that going to be a problem in the long run? Lastly, the motherboard is only $100 on amazon, not sure why its listed as $295? Thanks in advance for the help!
  15. Here is the updated list on PC Part Picker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gCBPhk
  16. So a few things: the website I used is garbage so they didn’t have the GPU I wanted to use, so I just chose the 6700 as a placeholder since it was close to the same price. I actually went with an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. Also the pricing of the motherboard is wrong for some, it is actually only $100. Lastly, I don’t know a whole lot about power supplies but the site said that the expected watts needed was 195. I thought that was kinda low as well, so I’m assuming that is just flat-out wrong. Im gonna use pc part picker instead when I get home and hopefully do a bit better.
  17. Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I couldn’t remember the name of the site but the alternate one that I ended up using is garbage. When I get home I will remake my list on pc part picker. Also I forgot to mention it has the prices wrong, that motherboard is only $100. And I had to choose that monitor because it was the best thing I could find for my project dimension & spec-wise.
  18. I forgot to mention that’s not the GPU I chose but a place holder since the site didn’t have mine listed. I chose an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. I will look at the parts you have suggested, thanks!
  19. I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that’s not the graphics card I’m using, instead, I’m using an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. I simply chose the other one as a placeholder since the didn’t have the Asus on that site.
  20. Budget (including currency): Preferably below $1600-1700 Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Virtual Pinball Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): It will be running 3 monitors: One big, as shown on the list, and 2 smaller ones. It will hopefully run 4k at 144hz or at least close to it. https://pcbuilder.net/rigs/QCVZcL/ Just looking for some opinions on anything that should/could change. Id prefer not to spend any more money than I have already but if I need to, I will. I am looking to run raytracing so I went with the 3080 but if that is overkill, I will gladly spend less money on a more efficient card. Also the cooler CPU cooler is very big, do yall think it will fit overtop of those ram sticks? Anyways, thank you for looking, and I look forward to speaking with everyone! Edit: The graphics card I went with is an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC, however, the site didn’t have it listed so I chose the other one as a placeholder because it had a similar price.
  21. The cooling is working as hard jams it can, it’s just crappy cooling lol
  22. I’ve done it before but I definitely should do it again, thank you for helping me remember that.
  23. So I have an IBuyPower pc that is probably 7-8 years old. It still runs games ok but it only has one fan (exhaust). It has been running REALLY hot lately to the point that it heats up my room. I checked temps while gaming: my mother board was at 140 Deg. Fahrenheit, my cpu was also at 140 deg Farenheit, and my gpu was at an astonishing 180 deg Fahrenheit! I know that is extremely high, but is there any risk of a fire or other hazard? Thx in advance!
  24. That was a lot of words that I don’t understand, but I think you said use macrium
