  1. Yeah, already expandind the house atm. Problem is that the 2080S feels a bit lackluster after I switched to 3840x1600, scared it wont hold up in new titles. Got the 2080S for the equivalent of 550USD, so dont feel to bad about that. But worth it in terms of money spent and performance gained, yeah, probably not worth it.
  2. Considering buying a 3080 to replace my 2080S. Using a 38GL950G-B, do you think the 3080 is worth it? Got an X470 GB Aorus Gaming 5 WIFI paired with a 3700X and 32GB of 3200MHz CL16 ram. If i go for a 3080, should I also upgrade MB and CPU?
  3. Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately I'm stuck with Norwegian retailers unless I want to pay a shitload in import taxes ?
  4. Hey. Recently built a new PC and got the New Asus VG27AQ, but I'm not quite sure if I'm satisfied with that monitor. Therefore I'm considering returning it and getting a 34 inch ultrawide instead. Apart from the top models from Asus, LG seems to be the best option. From what I can see the 34GK950F seems superior to the 34GK950G in every way, apart from G-sync vs G-sync compatible. So 950F seems like much better value for money when they're priced the same. But I can get the 950G for roughly 900USD while the 950F will set me back over 1200USD. Is there anyone here who has tested both models and can tell me if the 950F is worth the price difference? I'm using a RTX 2080 Super btw, but I'm guessing the 950F will work just as well with it's G-sync compatibility?
  5. If I use the fan hub on the R6, should I connect the H100i to CPU_FAN connection on mobo and fan hub to a CHA_FAN connection? Or connect the H100i to fan hub and fan hub to mobo CPU_FAN connection?
  6. Are the Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP-14 140 mm fans that bad? From what I can see on specs their airflow is quite high? The fans you byggested arent sold in my country actually.
  7. Thanks for the fast reply Guess I'll try with the stock fans and AIO first and see how temps and noise are under load. I'm guessing the mechanical keyboard will annoy the missus more than the case fans noise anyhow, so maybe money is better spent towards å quietter keyboard!
  8. So I’m building a new PC, first time since I was a teenager, and I’m wondering if I should replace the stock case fans in my Fractal Define R6. I have an RTX 2080 Super along with a Ryzen 7 3700X cooled by a Corsair H100i Platinum, radiator mounted in top of case exhausting. This is where I noticed that the three case fans don’t have PWM. So in this regard I have a couple questions. Should I replace the three case fans with fans that have PWM? Should I install more intake fans? Since I currently have 2 intakes (2x140mm in front) and 3 exhausts (1x140mm in back and 2x120mm in top connected to the AIO water cooler). What fans would you recommend? Since I’m planning to do the open layout of the case I was wondering if I should install 3x120mm intake fans in front (replacing 2x140mm stock fans), 1x140mm intake fan in bottom of case (middle of the case underneath the GPU) and 1x140mm exhaust fan in back (replacing the 140mm stock fans). Would this be overkill? Or perhaps too much intake compared to exhaust?
  9. Thanks! It came with an old bios, but fortunately a local computer store updated the bios for me for a mere 15 euros. Which is a lot cheaper than buying an equivalent X570 card ?
  10. Cheers for the reply! Any idea on how to check if Gigabyte ships older mobos to vendors with an updated bios?
  11. Building a new PC for the first time in many years, and first time with AMD CPU. Got a very good deal on motherboard and RAM for next to nothing. Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 5 WiFi and Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz 32GB (2x16) (CMW32GX4M2Z3200C16). Would there be any problems in pairing these with a Ryzen 7 3700X? Would there be much hazzle to get it all working?
  12. After reading some reviews of Dell/Alienware customer support I’m leaning more and more towards cancelling my order and getting something else. My only concerns with the P775T and P870T is the desktop CPU, won’t deliding it void the warranty? And if I don’t delid it, will it shorten the lifetime and halt the performance of CPU and GPU (assuming the CPU temperature affects GPU-cooling)? Apart from that, are there any clear advantages for choosing the P870T over P775T? Seeing how it costs 1250NOK (150USD) more with the same configuration.
  13. Are the QHD-panels used in P775T and P870T any better? And are there any clear advantages in picking the 870 over 775 if I’m not gonna take SLI?
  14. Actually didn’t know Multicom sold them. https://www.multicom.no/gaming-laptop/cat-c/c1000042/s_11?ffd=l-b-853 https://www.komplett.no/category/21661/gaming/gaming-pc/baerbar?nlevel=10431§21659§21661&hits=48 https://cdon.no/spill/pc/spillmaskiner/gaminglaptops/ https://www.elkjop.no/catalog/gaming/no-gaming-pc-laptop/gaming-pc-laptop The thing that made me go for Dell is the QHD-screen. I’d like to have a higher resolution than FHD when using the laptop for other things than gaming while also having high refresh rate while gaming.
  15. Unfortunately neither of those brands are available in Norway. Only the big brands are sold here and even if I could order directly from other manufacturers (like ObsidisnPC) directly I’d have to pay insane import taxes and fees to get it into the country.
