All due respect to TBL, but lets think this through, basically an international bill of rights for the internet and internet usage, first it would have to be drawn up by an international committee (good lucky getting people to agree there without so many compromises it could be neutered before it got going), then it has to be signed and ratified by soooo many countries, then if its broken who enforces it, what are the repercussions. Then we get into jurisdictional issues of what if the server is hosted in a country that didn't ratify the treaty but is mainly used by those in a country that did.

Oh is it that time of year again...., every so often the concept of game streaming comes up, its not the first time, and it usually comes to naught, because of latency issues, its not just there and back latency its there and back, the response back, the response sent out to others, *whacks up an exponential growth chart for sarcasm* you get the idea. Theres just no real way to get around this, sure there will be pockets of people where this may work within the realms of acceptability for a casual player, but theres not the high speed infrastructure to make it viable on the large scale, and in the end companies will just go ohh our available market segment in streaming is a fraction of those who locally store and doesn't earn near enough money sooo scrap it.

frankly I think the whole thing has become futile, at some point Israel will have to sit down and talk with the Palestinian government, like republicans and loyalists did in Ireland, like the US is starting to do with certain elements of radical groups, there’s a couple of facts that have to be accepted, every time a war occurs like this it will just create another generation of those who have lost their homes, their loved ones who will have nothing but overwhelming anger towards those that attacked them regardless of whether it was justified or not, In a sense the conflict has become self perpetuating.

You do realise what will happen, every games publisher will copy this model, then it won't be $5 a month, you'll be paying 5-10 different $5 a month subscriptions.
Not to mention you'll probably only use two or three games at a time, it would be like subbing upto netflix when you only wanted to watch star trek, amazon instant video to only watch stargate, and some other streaming service to only watch big bang theory. Put it in that context then it doesn't look as sweet a deal as people are thinking it is.

Not to mention what happens when a company decides to stop supporting a game, it will probably go poof and not work again.

    Beware

Not quite correct when your referring to dark matter, just because its not observable directly doesn't mean its in another dimension, but if you want other dimensions go look at string theory.

Ofcourse you have to adjust for population sizes but once you have the raw statistics its easier to actually do that.

You say that it prevents the average law abiding citizen from protecting themselves, well maybe with lethal force, but if you use that kind of logic you'd expect criminals to be embolden without fear of immediate consequences and crime would be rampant, weirdly its not.

Crime rate would go up if the widespread legalization of firearms was permitted (remember its perfectly legal to own a firmarm in the UK if you have a licence and just usage, we're just far more strict on the type of guns that can easily be concealed such as handguns) not because of "tempers" but because a gun gives someone power over others heck it doesn't even have to be loaded, heck it doesn't even have to be real people have committed robbery while pretending to have a hidden firearm in their pocket.

So what out of 60 million people not one of them went on a rampage today, some of them probably did kill someone based on the 2012 stats for the US its roughly one homicide per hour where the cause was firearms

Possibly theres another side to this most likely the quality of the content on youtube would go up as people would only be willing to contribute for video's that provide decent content if all the flotsam and jetsam went from youtube I think you'd probably find alot more people would be willing to pay a subscription model. Which is part of the argument, ad's support a vast sea of dren, which makes it harder for the good content producers to actually make money full stop as theres a few hundred people doing a review on this or an unboxing of that splitting where the cash is going, if that dren is gone then it gets redirected towards those that produce better content.

Proof of how useless the advertising is, google syndicate ad's on LTT forums is now giving me russian dating site adverts because i've been viewing coverage of the MH17 flight crisis. Also people forget that your paying for the bandwidth to deliver the ad's it would be like a telemarketer phoning you up and asking you to reverse the charges

And no if he wants to bitch, don't bitch to us. Bitch to what's causing the problem. We're only finding our own solution to the problem. If he, and all these other content creators (who are really the ones youtube and other places should listen to about this, especially if a bunch do it) want the problem fixed they need to complain about it to youtube and wherever else. So yea. You wanna fix a problem, you go to the source of the problem. You don't try to patch up small areas that will only temporarily hold, that's being lazy and prolonging the problem.

Given the area its gone down in securing the wreckage for an investigation is going to be a toughie I think we should have nato/un troops going in to secure the area to allow investigation by a neutral third party.
Though separatists have been shooting down Ukrainian military jets you need decent hardware to do that, you can't exactly buy that at the local store.
