Is it safe if my 2080 super isnt fully plugged into the pcie slot?
HiGuyz replied to HiGuyz's topic in Graphics Cards
No, the GPU I/O shield is being blocked by those things hanging off the case where you screw it in (See picture 2) -

If the case does not move is it fine? Also if i straighten out the place where it needs to be screwed in then it will be even less plugged in since the GPU I/O shield is clashing with that part and wont allow me to push that part of the pins fully into the PCIE slot -

I am planning on getting a new case soon anyway, as I plan to switch to AMD and have space for watercooling. Its good to know my GPU wont explode or set on fire -

It does seem to be bend todwards the motherboard, and the I/O shield for the GPU seems to bend outwards, so im thinking that the GPU goes under the case part (sorry i have no clue what the things are called). But i have no clue how to get it under there. -
My graphics card cannot plug in fully into the PCIE slot due to the things on the case(pics). Please help. Notes: it does boot, now testing if it dies during games. Context: took gpu out of pre built pc to clean it 20200801_155403.heic 20200801_152920.heic 20200801_152913.heic

I saw some people saying that there was problems with mounting the nh d15 on the aorus 7 gaming motherboard and stuff like it would block gpu's and some people managed to mount at 90°. Can the NH D15 really not fit on the motherboard

Im pretty sure there is one made by ASUS than can achieve up to 500mbps. If not you can buy a dongle quite easily. Sorry im in college right now cant get the link

I am shoping parts for a pc. Got the i7 limited edition(i know its just a cherry picked 8700k), and ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO WIFI AC motherboard. I have everything figured out exept i am in a dilemma about wheter to order the EVGA 1080 TI sc or wait for a version of the RTX 2080. Would it provide any benefit(apparently it has less cuda cores than the 1080 ti) and how long before EVGA or MSI or ASUS etc. makes better versions like acx or sc version.

Save money on this water cooling loop?
HiGuyz replied to HiGuyz's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
ok. EK says that aluminium has only 0.5 the conductivey of copper. Would I be better off buying a NZST Kraken AIO and upgrading later? -

I plan to delid the CPU and cool the GPU as well in the future and copper is easier since you can mix it. I also will be using liquid metal(as adhsesive) -

Look for a 750 Watt power supply when i saw the 80+ gold model from EVGA. WAYYYY cheaper than the others. Is it good quality.
