For me windows defender turned off when I downloaded mcaffy and didn’t turn back on when I turned everything off in mcaffeyand later uninstalled it cuz I had run out of subscription but it also works with malwarebyte (I think that’s the name) which is free. And it is only a firewall so it won’t uninstall things unless u tell it to.

Instead of choosing express install on programs, use manual or custom install. That way you can choose where to install the program.

You can change it in Origin. Go to Origin -> application settings -> install & saves. For downloading from your browser you should change it in the browser settings itself.

If you go to your users folder and right click "Download" folder and click properties, on "Location tab" you can change the default location for your download folder.
On Steam, Origin, and browsers though, you should be able to change the default download folder from settings.

Where are you downloading them from? In steam, origin, uplay you can set a folder in the properties.
