The mixer is designed to be used as a mixer for a small band etc so would want effects on the output.
The USB is designed in a way that the band can record them selves into computer software. When recording into software like that if the gain is too high from the mixer there isnt as much control in the software while too low the software has lots of gain to turn it up. So Yamaha designed the USB to be quite so when recording into DAW software its got plenty of headroom and control.
The reason the effects don't go through the USB is also because a band recording them selves wouldn't want the effects from a desk compared to higher quality software.


You got the wrong product for the task there isnt much solution for this.

Yamaha makes a product for you which is also cheaper then the MG10XU. Its called the Yamaha AG03 and AG06 (more inputs). This product was designed for your exact use case after people kept buying MGUX desks and saying it doesnt work. AG03 is a very capable desk designed for use with computers with good input amps and low noise which works great with the SM7B

That too! It’s worse than the V for anything compute related, and even has less Tensor cores, but that VRAM is nice; even if it’s just GDDR6.

Plus the water block is less expensive and easier to find too....

I'm folding with both my GPUs and my CPU. The CPU is using 30 threads and saving 2 threads for the OS and whatever else. Runs quite smooth.

Well it looks like EOC is just as susceptible as we are to dodgy data!
