  1. For sure we can see a weird take on thermals. Some more 'info': https://videocardz.com/newz/alleged-amd-radeon-rx-6000-engineering-sample-spotted
  2. ---------------------------------------------- Summary Describing the news in a couple of sentences This could be a real photo of a prototype Or not. Who knows? Quotes My shower thoughts The pyramids. They're upside down. 3. Partition it. --edit-- also, storing files on a bootable disk won't break the booting mechanisms. It just isn't a neat thing to look at.
  4. Are there no specs of the machine to be found anywhere? Not even manufacturer's website?
  5. Enter bootmode and empty your caches first. Try seeing how much free space there is on your device as well. Symptoms you observe are comparable to full storage.
  6. So there are multiple solutions to this problem which may or may not include replacing
  7. What @Turtle Rig says... Usually the graphics driver enables hardware acceleration when it's loaded. So you can try running Windows in safe mode, so it doesn't load the graphics drivers to uninstall said driver and try to find a newer one, look up current version and see if there are other people with your gpu that have this problem. If that doesn't show up and updating the driver didn't work, you can see if it maybe is trying to display something that isn't supported by your monitor as input format (res/hz) if all fails, RMA your GPU.
  8. Nice work on the site. But I don't view it as a race... Also if you include all Linus Cat Tips members, I'm sure LMG has well beyond 10M subs.
  9. Have a look at Windows 10 for Workstations. I use it in my quad socket 604 server. It runs 6-core Xeon chips with 32 sticks of 4GB DDR2 memory :') Windows for Workstations works better for me too. It essentially doesn't give that 'you stupid consumer, I will tell you what is best for this machine' user experience, but without the unneeded server environment. It supports up to 4 sockets iirc. I'm not sure if the highest performance scheduler is included in this version, it's a couple of months ago since I last booted it. And you don't need to buy it if you don't mind the watermark.
  10. Taichi beats everything except a few LN2-minded boards with only 2 memory slots on the memory speed side.
  11. Those results are nothing for a card like that. You aren't even trying.
  12. Well if you only took off the front of the case, then you wouldn't have seen the state of the actual critical components. It looks like your PC has suffered a liquid damage. The bootlooping is a sing of that. You can try turning it on later, but it would be incredibly lucky for you if there wasn't any persistant damage after showing these sings. Don't try to power it on for at least 24 hours.
  13. nVidia automatically ups the speed on your card when temperature is lower. So from that viewpoint, it is too high. But it always will be. Regarding the wellbeing of the chip, there is nothing to worry about.
  14. Even if it's a Great Wall power supply, they are not even that bad actually. Days of spontaniously combusting PSU's are over I think. No worries for aluminium foil all over your bedroom.
  15. Have a look at Linus video on Ryzen RAM testing. If you're worried about MB BIOS ver, just hit up your supplier before ordering.
  16. That RAM kit will lower your system speed. Get a nice 3200+ kit. They are overclockable too, so try per example a 3200 kit with the speed and timings of a 3600 kit from the same brand with the same chips. Take a look at G-Skill. That CPU cooler will definately hold you back. Go for a Dark Rock Pro or something like it. It will provide you with some actual overclocking headroom. You could save on the motherboard with an Asrock Taichi, and get more performance (expecially on the memory side of things) The rest seems fine.
  17. How can we possibly make a statement on specs you're not sure about? Just try it if you are not sure. If the computer shuts down mid-game you'll know whats up. But it'll be difficult to get any power supplies on it's knees with those specs. I think you are fine. Go for it.
  18. Honoustly. An SSD could be something to invest in, to give you a much faster desktop sensation. If you really want to spend a couple of extra bucks on it, try to find a second hand memory stick to enable dual channel memory speed gains. Leave it at that. Take a look at TechYESCity's YT channel if you are into second hand/bang for the buck PC building. He will get you sorted with the best bang for the buck PC parts you could possibly want. But please, be aware of the balance. Upgrading to an SSD will get you an investment that you can transfer to your next build.
  19. Asking an owner for a recommendation is almost certainly going to get you in a place of cognitive dissonance. Please look up independant reviews, comparisons even. If the reviews don't convince you, then try to have a look at them in real life. Still not convinced, then order both and send the one back you don't like. There's nothing wrong with that.
  20. Why would you care about someone else's opinion. Just get the one you like the most. You'll be happier with it for yourself than having to rely on your neighbours opinion on your card. You said you have seen two cards that speak to you, because of how they look. Go for one of them, but if you are still having doubts, wait for a card to come out that will make you spend a premium just because you like it so much. That will be the one.
  21. Hey, until Linus makes his own, I'm comfortable spamming GamersNexus' modmat as a mouse pad. Has been working fine for me for the last couple of years.
  22. Hey, cheap vodka makes me throw up too. Sometimes, good taste will cost you a premium. But with some good search effort, I hope you will find a case to your liking for the price you want to spend. Otherwise, there's always the puke bucket.
  23. Everything in this universe is possible. Sometimes you just have to take the jump. If it doesn't work out -> V2. And so on. Doing something out of the ordinary takes guts. In other words, it doesn't depend on if it is physically possible, but on whether you can make it happen. Go for it. Show me the working machine. Have no doubts about your abilities.
