To be clear, there are a few reasons why it is better to have an audio-only download available instead of playing / downloading from Youtube:
1) Podcast apps automatically download new episodes and manage them for you.
2) Streaming from Youtube when commuting is unreliable and uses up precious data, whereas audio-only downloads can be done beforehand over WiFi.
3) Podcast apps save listener's progress so a show can be stopped and started at ease, even after days have passed.
I'd be interested to know if it isn't LTT that publishes to Soundcloud and ITunes. That seems like the kind of thing they would want to lock down.
