  1. I saw this video of League being played at about 30-50 fps at max settings on a really cheap laptop with an i3-7100u CPU and intel HD 620 graphics. I'd like it to be able to run a bit faster than this. Should I look to get a better CPU or better graphics when looking at upping the frame rate?
  2. Do you really need a 1050ti for this kind of gaming? I was really hoping to get something under 4 lbs. And I don't really like the look of "gaming" laptops, I find they are sort of gaudy personally.
  3. I have a desktop already, so I don't think the egpu will really be necessary, since if I'm at my dorm, I won't be using my laptop. So the gaming that I'd be using my laptop for would be on-the-go gaming. Like if I'm over at a friend's dorm or if I'm participating in community events and want to crack open my laptop to play some games with some friends. I'm just looking for that thin and light that can play E-Sports kinds of games.
  4. I'm looking for a laptop to use for notes and probably some school projects. I'm going into engineering, and then software engineering second year, so coding, light graphic design, and I'm probably going to want to be able to play some games as well. Stuff like being able to run League of Legends on medium settings with around 60 fps, then play some other games as well casually, like Hearthstone, probably Overwatch, just on low settings would be fine. I mostly was looking for it to be snappy when doing daily activities like web browsing and such, I enjoy watching twitch streams and YouTube videos. I have a budget of about $1300 CAD, but I'm willing to stretch if it's for something nice that'll last me 4-5 years. I was thinking that a touch screen might be nice, but it's not necessary, and for the screen, I'm not looking for anything bigger than 14 inches, but 13.3/13 inches seems good, so I probably won't need 4k either. I think the biggest priority would having it be snappy like I mentioned, nice construction quality, nice keyboard and track-pad, and light, since I'll be caring it around campus. I've heard of the XPS 13, which peaked my interest, but I was wondering if it was overpriced? I'm not a pro on laptop CPUs either, so any suggestions or tips are highly appreciated. Thank you! (SSD is also a must) As a side note, I'm wondering if I bring my desktop PC to University, would I even need a laptop that can do anything more than just take notes? If so, I would just want something that can browse the internet and be really snappy, but I'm not really into chromebooks. Thanks!
