Looks fine. Maybe see if you can get a 2tb hdd there isn't a massive price difference so its worth it.

If you're buying a Ryzen 5 2600, keep in mind that AMD is now making the Ryzen 5 1600 on the 12nm process, and it's basically a 2600 with a different name. (GamersNexus has a good video about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRO_AUdmfis).
The 1600 is usually a cheaper CPU, so that could save some money.
However, you should ensure that you’re getting the updated version, with a SKU ending in “AF” instead of “AE”

You could buy your GPU used, which would probably give you a better deal (same goes for almost any component actually, but GPU is easiest)

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I would *highly* recommend having an SSD boot drive. Get a 256GB one for about the same price, and then upgrade with a hard drive later. (if you're just going to put games on the hard drive, you could even scavenge a used hard drive, or get one for practically free by finding broken/older computers that people are giving away. Just remember that you shouldn't put anything important on a used HDD

I wouldn't spend an extra $40 for the 2600X. The difference is extremely small, and that can make a difference throughout the build. No reason to pay for a MAX board with a Zen+ CPU. The Pro4 is solid. Upgraded to 3200mhz RAM Upgraded to a very solid 1TB SSD for only a little more. Much better buy than a hybrid. (Samsung is on a great sale!) Slight upgrade to the 1660Ti. If you were willing to go a few bucks more, an RTX 2060 would be a larger improvement, and only put you at a total of $1033. I love the look of the Spec cases, but I don't mess with cases without a PSU shroud. There is no reason to in the modern age  That may just be a personal thing. Upgraded to a solid PSU.

Can you buy a crap unit and have it work well for 10 years? Yes.
Does that mean that your sample size of 1 should be touted to people looking to build? Probably not.

Our PSU Tier List isn't an end-all-be-all list of good vs bad, but it is sorted handily by the levels of protection that units include.

As @boggy77 pointed out, all of the brands you mention have well made units with reasonable protections in place, and all of them have units that one might consider a fire hazard.
I can't speak to the quality of this unit. I'm not familiar with it. I will say that the majority of units in this price range are not worth considering.
That said, the System Power U9 or Corsair CX series are similarly priced and I can vouch for the quality there.

It’s pretty common for gaming machines to spend nearly half the budget on the GPU. Sometimes more.  With a gaming machine it’s mostly all about keeping the GPU fed.  I’m running a 580 on 1080p atm and while I’m getting solid 60fps on an older AAA game the card is near buried and quite loud.  And I’ve got less cpu than you do.  There’s an argument for something in the 1660’s class.  Budget machines use budget bits.  I tried a build for a bit before I thought better of it, and I was going for a $40ish rangerM case and the cheapest c+ tier PSU I could find.  You’ve got the CPU to handle a 1080 class card like a 5700xt

This is if you'll be buying that used GPU I mentioned earlier.
-Matrexx 50 available at CC in Newmarket
-You'll want to pickup some extra fans, or spring for the RGB edition that comes with fans at $85. Alternatively, you could go for the Cougar MX330-G, also available at CC, for a mesh front case.
-Picked SATA SSD because I can't find anything NVMe in stock that's decent value

No used GPU would require this downgrade.
-You could probably jam a RX 5600XT in by downgrading the SSD and going for a cheap Rosewill case, although that wouldn't save much.
-The 1660 Super is quite a bit slower than the RX V64

just a warning regarding Vuugo, my cousin bought through them recently and there's been a big runaround over the way they processed his payment method with some suspicious refunding/re-charging cup game going on. I would keep your purchases to major retailers only such as Newegg Canada, Canada Computers, Amazon Canada, and potentially direct purchase from manufacturer like you have listed for the psu currently. I'm just going to do some quick price checks to see if there are some better items to suggest.

You can plug an apple TV and a Roku box into a TV (if it has enough ports). You would have 2 remotes, unless there are universal remotes, but I don't use them at all, so IDK if you could. Each box will have something special about it. Apple has special things and services that make it appealing to some customer.

So, this is a bit over your cap, but is about the least I feel good recommending. There are a few ways you can go about reducing the price if you'd like to, in order of what I'd be willing to do and not,

    1) Buy a used processor or case off of Craigslist, eBay, or something of the like. Heck, say you go on Craigslist and find an R5 1600 for $100CAD, go with that or something.
    2) Buy a cheaper processor, like the AMD Ryzen 2200G (and maybe remove the GPU if you really need to). I wouldn't go with something like the 200GE, but that's nearly $100 cheaper and... would technically work. I'd rather go used at that point, but it's an option since you plan on upgrading anyway.
    3) Buy an old business machine with an i7-4770 and stick a new PSU and graphics card in it. The system will become significantly less upgradable, but may become significantly cheaper. I've put together decent gaming PCs for less than $250USD doing this, but the only thing worth salvaging if you go to upgrade is the GPU, PSU, and maybe the storage.
    4) Reduce RAM to 8GB instead of 16GB. I'd rather pay the extra since RAM isn't that expensive, but if you wanna penny pinch, there ya go.
    5) Get a hard drive instead of an SSD. I wouldn't do that since hard drives in the 500GB to 1TB range really aren't that much cheaper than SSDs, but again, penny pinching options.
