  1. So the only reason to get a PCIE Gen. 4 drive would be to future proof the system, but it's mostly unnecessary at the moment?
  2. I would say I'm around a 50 - 50 split of gaming and video / photo editing and design, but my projects are usually only around 10 minutes or less to put some things into perspective. Can you recommend some NVMe drives that I could check out based on this? Also, how can you manage two drives on a system? I've never done it before, so not sure if it's anything special to access files in the other drive if Windows / other applications are on the boot drive.
  3. The drive is currently have in my system is only 500 GB, and I'm close to running out of room for games and projects. My current build is a Gigabyte X570 Gaming X motherboard and Ryzen 3700x with a Samsung 970 EVO M.2 drive. When getting a new drive, should I look for one that is PCIE Gen. 4 compatible since they are more readily available than when I first built the computer? On top of this, should I fully replace the current M.2 with a new one, or somehow run them together? Would the different speeds have any performance impact? Here are the drives I'm currently looking at, either in 1 TB or 2 TB sizes: SAMSUNG 980 PRO - might be easier to transfer data if both are Samsung drives? SABRENT ROCKET 4 / 4 PLUS - is the upgrade worth it? WD_BLACK SN750 SE / SN850 - same question as above Some of these drives come with the option of a heatsink, but I'm fairly sure my motherboard has one already (hidden underneath the GPU), should I get one of the drive specific heatsinks or is it not worth it? Overall, which drive should I get, and what's the best way to integrate the new one into my system?
  4. Looking for a pair of small-ish speakers that I can put on a desk and use in a bedroom/dorm. I'm very far from an audiophile, so I probably won't notice any slight differences in sound. Right now, I can get the MM-3's for $110 USD, the A2+ for $269, and the PB42X for $120. Are any of these options better than the others for any reason? Or are there others that you would recommend? Thanks for any help!
  5. Thanks! Planning on OC'ing soon
  6. I know the fans don't match shush but: Ryzen 3700X Noctua NH-D15 with Chromax Covers (fans when i'm not poor again) G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600 (2x8) Nvidia 2070 Super FE Gigabyte X570 Gaming X Samsung 970 EVO NZXT H710 Asiahorse Sleeved Extension Cables A Wifi Card A Fake Plant
  7. I'm definitely planning on getting the same speeds, there are just some kits with different timings that are cheaper at some times.
  8. Alright, thanks for your help! I'll see if I can find my order records.
  9. I have some G.Skill Trident Z RGB memory (2 x 8, 3600 speed), and I might be getting more sometime down the line. Do I have to match the timing speeds on the new kit to the one I have already, or is speed / model the most important factor?
  10. I can definitely try to find the 880's somewhere else, Amazon was just the first place I checked. Probably can't buy both though, not really worth it for me right now. I have the Skullcandy Hesh 3 for music and out of the house, and my room is fairly quiet, so I'll probably snag the Phillips first, if they don't work for me I can return and try the Beyerdynamics.
  11. As of now, I'm swinging between the 770's and the Phillips Audio Fidelio X2HR (which seem to be the higher tier version of the SHP9500's). I've found both on Amazon for pretty much the same price (around $130) Phillips: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5VHLUG/?coliid=I2CETF7L3190H1&colid=339AYZ278H5PT&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Beyerdynamic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016MNAAI/?coliid=I29EH88C7Q9KIM&colid=339AYZ278H5PT&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it I can't seem to find the 880's for less than $170-180 (on Amazon, at least)
