Unfortunately, I don't. I'm trying to make another boot drive on my SATA SSD but it looks like the USB isn't being booted into properly. Thinking its the USB this time so I'm trying with another.

Edit: Yep, it was the USB. Installing Windows on my other SSD now, but still stuck on getting my NVME up

This is ridiculously cool and I'm relieved they didn't end up in a landfill somewhere. I'm not sure if there's enough content that works to make a video on it... Found a Windows Central article on it that goes over everything they got it to do and there's not much to see. Still, this is a curio and a piece of gaming history I definitely want to see preserved... I'll see what @LinusTech thinks during our next content meeting.

What kind of work? General multitasking and word processing are totally fine on a 3600. 3D rendering or video workloads are a different story.

The VRMs can only push so much power, the heat sink on that board is pretty tiny too. A CPU that requires a lot of power would not be able to reach its full potential.

You won't need to reinstall Windows, you'll only have to have the updated BIOS.

Acquiring youtube channels is complicated for a number of logistical and legal reasons.

Its not unthinkable for us to do something like that at some point, but if that channel ended up being Gamers Nexus I'd eat a mod mat.

Steve's running a successful business over there and would have no desire to sell, and for my part there would be very little value in acquiring a business with most of the value tied up in one individual. That's a lot of legal headache when I could more easily just hire that person (which, to be clear isn't happening).

Fortekko got a reaction from iKingRPG in Thoughts on Android on Nintendo Switch?
I'm somewhat savvy on the switch hacking scene and its a pretty good time right now. There's a lot of stuff that you're finally able to do now (proper web browser, download apps, streaming) and its pretty simple to set up. As far as I know, Nintendo isn't able to stop this if you're on an unpatched switch since the exploit they use is more or less permanent barring a hardware revision (aka the new Switch Lite and future versions). Heck, I'm not even sure if they're able to find out that your switch is even booting Android since Horizon (Switch OS) never gets booted and hence doesn't collect the telemetry they need. Even if its not applicable to a ton of people, its still a pretty cool topic imo

i'm legit reading "The Manga Guide to Microprocessors" right now, things like that, not textbooks are nice to start with

Wow I actually think that this fixed the problem. I put the router on the ground rather than on top of my case and it looks like most of the crackling stopped. Granted, this didn't happen before when the transceiver was right next to the router so I didn't think that was the issue. Hopefully the problem is actually gone this time and not just me being lucky during my testing. Anyways, thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure these are wireless, right? How do they sound wired to the computer, if they have a 3.5mm port? You may have wireless interference between your PC and headset (i.e. WiFi mainly).

    What is folding?
Folding is a worldwide distributed computing effort conducted by Stanford University to understand how proteins assemble themselves. The real world applications of this research includes potential cures for diseases such as Alzheimer's, cancer, and Parkinson's. Nearly everyone's life has been touched by someone who has had one of these diseases or one of the many other diseases this research is aiming to cure.
Why should I fold? What's in it for me?
Just the knowledge that you're contributing to a very good cause. We do this because we can, because we have the computing power to offer. From a purely fun perspective, as you fold you are awarded points. These points help generate some competition and fun between members and other teams.

I don't a high powered folding gear. Is it worth it?
Absolutely! All to often you will see one of the regulars answering this questions with a "EVERY little bit helps". With the various client types, pretty much any system can help to contribute to the cause.

    What does it cost?
The software is free, and there are no fees of any kind for participating in folding. If you fold 24/7 and/or have several computers folding, you will likely notice a increase in your electric bill.
