  1. Hello everyone! Yesterday I've built a new PC (first time ever) and everything worked out somehow in the end. Did the EXPO to 6000 MHz at 30CL, and PBO curve with negative 30. After a lot of stress testing the system was stable. I've installed all the default programs that I usually use and Steam was among one of them. After a reboot the PC boots into Windows but loads everything super super slow(it says that it's loading but doesn't do anything really). So today I resorted to the system restore point where nothing was installed and made a list of all the programs that I installed yesterday. After installing each one I restarted the PC to see if it's gonna cause those issues and Steam came on top as the one causing it. I did a clean Windows install today again and created a new restore point just before I installed Steam and the same issue occurred. How is it possible that Steam is causing all this? Am I looking at it from a wrong angle, could something else be the culprit? Every answer will be much appreciated!!!
  2. Thank you very much for your help and will do!
  3. I have currently the Vega still sorry for the misunderstanding, but thank you for the info I'll take it into consideration!
  4. I gave my old PC to my parents for them to use since they're using a prebuilt rig from 2012, so when the money is right I'll get a GPU as well since I'm not in a hurry with gaming at the moment but that's good advice right there
  5. I salvaged some parts from the old system so it's not final yet but thank you for the response!
  6. damn that's a really good point, I didn't know Win10 had only so much time left, thank you for the info!
  7. Hello everyone! I'm planning to build a new PC for myself next week with the following parts: Which Windows should I go for? I'd use the PC mainly for gaming and video editing. If you've got some advice for me on what could be changed/improved I would really appreciate the feedback! The GPU will be replaced sometime in the near future probably with an 7900 GRE, I'm just using it for now since it was in my old system. Every answer will be much appreciated!
  8. that's quite possible, I've decided in the end to return the SSD and those 2 sticks of RAM to Amazon and upgrade to AM5 in the near future, thank you very much for your help!
  9. it was running really well for like two weeks and then the issues started.. I tried with one stick of ram and not overclocked and the issue still persists, any ideas what else could I do?
  10. So there wouldn't be any connectivity issues between the NVMe and the HDD? That is actually a great point and I'm thinking actually on returning the SSD to Amazon and to get a 5800X CPU instead
  11. I've had a friend of my father build the PC 6 years ago so sadly I have no idea in which one the HDD is plugged in, could you tell me how to check that? There seems to be only one M.2 slot on the motherboard or am I mistaken? I wanted to upgrade my PC sometime in the future and ran out of SSD space so thought I could do transfer the SSD one day into the new system
  12. Here's the issue explained in greater detail, I've tried everything from the replies there and it's still the same problem sadly.. I'm really desperate for any help or advice!
  13. The SSD is not detected at all only the HDD is? I can't get into windows at all, only if I do the boot override option it'll go into it but it isn't very stable and crashes after a while? Here's the system: Every answer will be much appreciated!!!!!
  14. The last image of the LED is definitely white, I can't get into BIOS anymore at all since od today so I'll have to search up what to do now, but thank you for the information!
  15. It was actually running it stable at 3200 when I had only 16GB and after the two extra sticks it worked just fine as well, but the not booting issue is really mind boggling to say the least
  16. Thank you very much for the great response! I've tried to remove the SSD and put it back in but since the screw has been completely stripped I can't remove it at all now like it's permanently one with the motherboard..
  17. Hello everyone! I'm having this issue for the past two days and I just can't figure it out. When I turn the PSU off and then on the green LED is on and it directs me to the boot menu. From the BIOS when I press the Windows Boot Manager it boots normally. So here's where the problem starts. When I restart the PC the white LED starts to glow (after DRAM and CPU) permanently: and there isn't anything on the monitor as well and the Display Port is greyed out as if it isn't connected at all. Recently I've done two things in the past month: 1. Eleven days ago I updated the BIOS because I wanted to add two more sticks of RAM(2x8GB) and hoped the update would make it stable on 3200 MHZ(D.O.C.P). 2. Added the two sticks of RAM into the system. I tired pretty much everything I could from README: How to respond to a no POST or no power up situation and it still doesn't boot when I restart my PC. I have no idea why the monitor doesn't turn on and why the DisplayPort is greyed out when the white LED is on, as if the monitor is not feeling it these past few days.. Here's the system as well: Every answer will be much appreciated!!!
  18. probably not to be honest so I have to enable DOCP and that's it? that could be very possible since I've never managed to get it over that without crashing.. If I add some 16GB to it now would I even see any improvements at all, gaming / video editing wise?
  19. Hello everyone! I've been thinking of adding some more ram to my PC and was curious if I should update the BIOS as well since I never did the update on it and my rig was made in December 2018. I don't even have the option to turn XMP on so would that be available with a newer version of the BIOS by any chance? I've got a 1800x as the CPU and currently 16GB of Corsair Vengeance (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 but I never managed to hit those 3200MhHz while having a stable system. How much out of the loop am I? Every answer will be much appreciated!!
  20. Hello everyone! I got an Ideapad Flex 5 Gen 8 16" (AMD) recently and am currently on the lookout for a SSD replacement. Here are the options that I decided to go for and would like to know which one would you folks go for. Every answer will be much appreciated!
