  1. That whine definitely sounds like the issue is the Power Supply. I hope that It hasn't decided to send stray voltage into your SSD's, as it sounds like All of your SSDs are on the same rail. That would suck If you don't have a backup of your Operating System.
  2. Do you have another computer that you can put the SSD's in and test to see if they are recognized there? Have you attempted trying different SATA ports on your motherboard? Another thing to try is Re-Seating your CPU, as there are pins that can get shifted around due to vibration, and that can be causing the fans not to spin down also (I actually experienced that one when I was moving an entire rack of servers, and one of the CPUS shifted and i lost some drives from my raid array.) Another thing to try is taking the CMOS battery out, Disconnecting the power from the wall, and holding the power button for 30 seconds and plugging them back in. If you have an external HDD enclosure, You can try putting one of the SSD's in there to see if it works. Also, Try a different power supply. Good Luck!
  3. Update: The Pocophone F1 has been dropped out of consideration for me, as LTE doesn't seem to be its strong point, Having support for only 3 of 14 of the LTE network bands in the United States.
  4. Yeah, I'm aware of that, the only types of streaming I do on my phone is though YouTube anyway, and from what I have heard, It can do that fine in HD. However, Do you know if I can get a stock android experience on the Pocophone F1? Does it support VoLTE? Thanks!
  5. I really appreciate the fast response. However, Do you know anything about the supposed poor availability of the LTE reception on the Pocophone that I have heard about? Would it affect me If i am using AT&T? Thanks! Also, Where would I purchase one?
  6. So, as an ex Samsung Galaxy S8 user, I've been looking for something a bit different for 2018, and not have to worry about having to make the monthly payments that I was having to make to get the S8. Not really having much other to say, Than I would love a Stock Android experience, and some modern-ish specs. I've been looking at the Essential Ph-1, Being that It has gotten the Pixel experience with Android 9.0 having been brought to it, and it being a stock android with a Snapdragon 835. But, I'm just not aware enough of the phone market because I just don't have the time to do any research to get a good budget phone. All suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
  7. The headphone jack doesn't work, Because when I took the back off to add more memory, the case had the headphone jack held firmly in place. And I broke the connection off of the board. However, the ports were working fine after that, They worked fine all the way up until I pulled the laptop out in class and Windows did an Update. So as far as the power? That's sorta what I started thinking, But the more I think about it, The more it seems like an issue with windows update, But the issue also persists when in other operating systems other than Windows, and even the UEFI
  8. Yeah, That power supply will still work for you, Just plug it right into the motherboard and it will boot right up. I don't recommend this for long time setups, But if you need to run it this way until you get yourself a power supply that has 24 pins.
  9. Hello All, once again I have returned with something that is really perplexing to me. I traded someone my gaming desktop for this MSI Laptop and for the first night I had it, I loved it. Everything worked, With the exception of the headphone jack. But today, All without warning, Both of my USB 3.1 ports have stopped working. But hold on, They stopped working normally, I should say.. When something that is simple, Such as a Wireless mouse receiver is inserted into the computer, The port works fine for that device, With the exception of my Type-C port, Which stopped responding to any device when plugged in. But when you go to plug in something that i would say, requires a bit more from the port, It just straight out dies. Like I have a SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 device that I Plugged into the port, and it just doesn't work. I have a Logitech G430 Headset that had the little included DAC, That when plugged into the port, Works, But emits a horrid, Digital noise sounds from the headset, with something that I would say sounds like static and popping (I might attach a recording.) The USB 3.1 Type-C still doesn't respond to any device it is plugged into, Which i verified all the USB-C devices I have work, Because I can plug them into my Galaxy S8 and they work just fine. Thank you all for your time!
  10. Alright, so I did what you suggested, and after restarting I couldn't even see the USB in the boot selector, I had to go re-enable CSM. However , after CSM was re-enabled, I could see the USB, and then I made sure I could still boot into my windows 10 install, which I could. Then I selected the USB I booted into the setup perfectly! I could see my drives (Which I still had the windows 10 drive in there, along with the data) so I rebooted with the fresh drive inserted, and I could see that one too! I am currently installing Windows 7 on the clean drive with only two changes to my UEFI, Enabling CSM and disabling Secure Boot. The rest of the settings I was able to leave as default. I will do an update once I have succeeded the install and have my drivers installed.
  11. Should I do MBR for BIOS or UEFI-CSM. Or should I do MBR for UEFI?
  12. Here is the error message. Once again, thank you all for your help.
  13. Yet again hit upload Limit, here is some more, Next will be of actual error message.
  14. Hello Everyone, today I come to you with something very interesting. I have in my possession an older gaming laptop that has some moderate specs and still runs very well in 2018. (Intel Core I7 3630QM @ 2.40 Ghz Turbos up to 3.30, 20 GB of DDR3 1600MHz, Nvidia Geforce 660M) I currently have Windows 10 pro installed on one hard-drive and in the other drive bay I have a data drive. I wanted to install Windows 7 to a 3rd disk that I have on the side, that I would just take out the Windows 10 boot disk and insert the Windows 7 boot disk and would have Windows 7, and the exact same data that is shared on the data drive. So, to start out with, I removed the Windows 10 and Data disk (just to be on the date side) and inserted the Windows 7 disk that I was going to be installing to. I plugged in the flash drive that contains the Windows 7 install media and proceeded to boot Into the UEFI. While in the UEFI I changed the following, I set Secure Boot to OFF, I also set the USB controller to 2.0 mode, since windows 7 doesnt support 3.0 natively. Then set the UEFI to boot from the flash drive first, which was formatted as GPT for UEFI in RUFUS. Saved my changes, then restarted. (Please note, the only devices connected is a Fresh 500 GB WD Black drive, the boot flash drive, and the charger for the laptop.) Then I am met with something about not being able to load the Boot Configuration data, and having the option to exit (Which restarts the computer) and Continue (Which enters UEFI). Below, I have attached some pictures, Which includes my RUFUS settings, the Error Message itself, and the UEFI screens. I am able to continue and actually boot into the installer if I enable CSM, but then I am not able to see any Hard Drives. Heres a list of things I have tried. * different hard drives * different SATA controller modes * Enabling CSM * different Flash Drives (2 USB 2.0 drives, and 2 3.0 drives) * disabling Secure Boot and clearing keys * putting the USB controller in 2.0 legacy mode * resetting the UEFI to default * adding USB 3.0 drivers to the Windows 7 installer My goal in the end is to have 3 drives, with only two being attached at one time. One data drive that has files, and the other be the OS. When I want 7 I will insert the 7 boot disk, and when I want 10 I will insert the 7 boot disk. Unfortunately I have a 20 MB upload limit, and cannot attach more than the 2 that I have attached. I will put more in a response after this post. Thank you all so much you your help, and I look forward to being able to complete my goal!
  15. OK, Since obviously most people are trying to make the Operating System that these computer run, Vista. I'm just not understanding how listing that there is no support what so ever for a 1080 Ti and Vista, Plus the lack of support in Chrome, and soon Steam. And, If you look close enough at the video, You will see that it is just Windows 7 with small task bar buttons enabled. Now, Something to notice is that Windows 7 "Show Desktop" Button. The Internet Icon doesn't have the globe like vista. While you can Modify Vista to include these, Why? It would hurt performance. Support for the OS is Gone. There is 0 reason to be running Vista, Especially in a gaming/performance standpoint.
  16. Yeah, For the most part, I just ignored it, But, I wanted to see if someone could come up with a better explanation that what i had, So far, You've done it!
  17. The only thing that I could ever come to imagine something like this from, Is depending on how bad of input lag, They may want to check and see what refresh rate the drivers have his monitor set at. Too low, input lag can become a thing. Then, Sometimes, depending on the type of connection between the monitor and the graphics card, This can happen. Also, The card could be bad? But you stated that the FPS is normal.
  18. So, Sometime an hour ago, My computer updated the firmware for the Logitech G430 Headset which required me to unplug and replug the headset. Windows didn't like that and it bluescreened, Something about "System exception not handled". Regardless, I started the computer back up and launched chrome, This happened. The thing that strikes me the most, is that the only reason that i have it installed, Is because Linus featured it in a video, plus the free subscription. So, in other words, WHAT? Thank you all for your time, GTinsider
  19. Alright, I'm new here, But I did notice that the IHotel PC's weren't running Windows 10. But, with all the talk that everyone is currently doing about these computers running Windows Vista, I want to say that you're wrong. NVidia doesn't support Windows Vista with the 1080 Ti. Windows Vista supports DirectX 11, But that was an Update that was required to be downloaded and installed. Also, Linus mentioned that IHotel's internet was really fast, I'm not saying Windows Vista wouldn't support it, But Google Chrome and Firefox have dropped support for the operating system. Most Antivirus programs (To my knowledge) does not work on Vista, and with their internet speed, and network size, Security is a must. Steam has also stated that it is dropping support for Windows Vista as well. I hope this helps solve the debate.
