  1. Thanks for the recommendation! I couldn't find any place that sell Chromebooks here but there are a few cheap Windows laptop that goes around at my local store for much less than 300 with respectable specs. Might consider getting one of them and throw Chrome OS on it
  2. So basically, I will be attending a high school pretty far away from home, and I need a sub-550 USD machine. A few available option for me is: -Get a laptop with the Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB of RAM, 512GB SSD and use it as it is -Buy a cheaper model with the Ryzen 3 3200U or 10th gen i3 and swap out the current RAM ( Mostly 4GB ) for 16 GB of RAM, slap in more storage I'd be using this laptop for at least 5 years, until half way in my university courses so this is a pretty big choice to make lol. Gaming is also one of my priority, but I really don't play any graphics intense game anymore than League of Legends or CSGO. Also, these are the devices I'm currently looking at. I'd appreciate a lot if anyone who uses them can share their experience about it: -Asus Vivobook A412DA (Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) / (Ryzen 3 3200U, 4GB, 512 GB SSD) -HP 14s (Ryzen 3 3200U, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD) / (Ryzen 3 3250U, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD) -Asus Vivobook D409DA (Ryzen 3 3200U, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD) / (Ryzen 5 3500U, 4GB RAM, 512GB SSD) -Dell Vostro 3490 (i3 10110U, 4GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) There might be more, but these are the one that attracts me. ( By the way the ASUS laptops mention above all have 4GB of RAM on board, and to make it 8gb they put in another 4gb stick. Price efficient, but upgrades are hard) Anyways, thanks for all your help! p/s found a laptop with Ryzen 5 and GTX 1050 on sale for $550 but they don't ship to my place because of the pandemic :'l big F
  3. Its the GIGABYTE AX370M DS3H. I'm kinda aware about this mobo after doing a quick search after I bought it that it has pretty bad vrm heatsink
  4. I just bought the 2400g and i'm wondering about overclocking it. How far can i pusht it ? Thanks
  5. I went to a nearby computer store and tried the mx silent and to my suprise, it actually sound like rubber domes. has anyone tried putting o-rings on them ? lol
  6. Hi.I recently found the Xperia X Performance is on sale at $175. Is this a good deal? Also I’m aware that it runs pretty toasty under load and decrease the Performance. If anyone used it yet,can you tell me your experience with it? Thanks a lot
  7. Vegas is nice and you can find tutorials that helps you get it for free
  8. I installed Ubuntu on my old laptop to give my cousin. The GPU is a GT 105m. Ive been facing overheating problem, and i use Afterburner to underclock it in windows. But I couldn't find any software that can do that in Ubuntu. Also my cousin doesn't know a lot about tech, he's just using this to watch youtube and playing minecraft so underclocking wouldnt effect the performace a lot. What program should I use? Thanks
  9. I'm going to build my first PC, and I'm considering the i5 8400 and Ryzen 5 2600, since my I'd have to share the computer with my dad and he do a lot of intensive CPU workload. Is it worth it to trade a bit of gaming performance for raw CPU performance. Thanks in advanced
  10. Saw a 212 EVO on sale at my local PC store for $5 off.Should I go for it or the stock cooler would do fine. BTW im planning to use it on a 8400 so if anyone who used both, can someone give me temps? thanks
  11. Oh, I totally forgot ! Thanks for reminding me and your great support:)
  12. Nice, gotta geplace the cpu with i5 8400 and I'm good to go! Thanks for the support
  13. I'm considering the 1st build, do you know what is closed to the RX580 8GB in the nvidia lineup since AMD Cards are all out of stock due to bitcoin miners
  14. Dude, who pays for windows 10? Go to ebay and grab a $5 keys or get one for $14 from scdkeys.com
  15. I was originally going to get a $600 PC (Screen included) and after some searching, I found out that prices now kinda sucks especially GPUs in my country (GTX 1050Ti $75 over MSRP). So I convinced my dad to increase the buget and he agreed and we're gonna have to share the computer (Not the best solution but anyway)..I'm going to play CSGO, Fortnite, PUBG, etc and doing video editing. He might be able to get some ram cheaper than in my country, so dont include ram in this build. Thanks
  16. dont think thats the gpu's fault but if you want then you can use msi afterburner
  17. i know, but my parents refused to buy 2nd stuff also 2nd hand stuff in my country are pretty pricey. i3-2100, 8gb ddr3 and gt 1030 go for $400 which is ridiculous.
  18. Recently, my dad allowed me to built my first system and his max buget for me is 600. I've minus the sreen off my buget so that'll be $500. Can anyone recommenced me a build? I'm planing to do light gaming like Minecraft and Fortnite. I'm also planning on recording them and do light video editing with Vegas Pro. Thank you in advanced.
  19. Thanks for the suggestion, btw can I record video using the 2400G (Minecraft only i'm not recording fortnite)? ty
  20. Thanks for the benchmarks ! I'm going with the 2400G instead, since a 1200 and a GT 1030 would cost me more while performing worse.
  21. So I was planning to use a 2200G for my first build, and then I saw a GT 1030 on sale for $70 at my local store. Is it good to pair it w/a ryzen 3 1200 or should I go for the 2200G? Thanks
