  1. I actually read all reviews regarding the first kit (google translate could lead to misinformation). Its not a hard yes or hard no since it is a enough ram that can overlock as well as b-die to a certain degree til it become unstable. It still overclock better than other non b-die.
  2. If you click the sources link from that finder - hardwareluxx.de. The first set is in the list.
  3. They currently have 3 set of pro rgb 3600 cl18 ram listed on their website. 1. CMW16GX4M2C3600C18 Timing 18-19-19-39. It said not compatible with Amd board but most people found it compatible. Known b-die. 2. CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 Timing 18-19-19-39. Compatible with Amd board. 3. CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 Timing 18-22-22-42. Compatible with Amd board. I suppose the 3rd one is the worst set. What are the difference between the 1st set and 2nd set? Is b-die and non b-die the only difference?
  4. How about the Corsair TX550M? More recent than the EVGA G2 despite being only tier 2.
  5. How about EVGA G2 650W? since its actually slightly cheaper with the sale and its tier 1 on the PSU tier list. Can you also explain why 1070ti over 1080 given the cheapest 1070ti atm in Canada is only around $40 cheaper than most 1080?
  6. Bunch of sale going around in Canada recently and got more budget since the last time I posted. I already bought the HD and SSD for $190 with Prime Day sale, so the price for this build atm is $1803.38 CAD. Just wondering if I wait til the next gen CPU and GPU comes out, does rest of my build hold (I know its bad to plan that far ahead but still, all those rumors make me want to wait) Currently: 1) Not in a rush to update since most game title I am interested comes out at Fall even Winter this year 2) No VR, saving for 1440p 144hz monitor at the same time 3) Budget is around $1700~1800 CAD PCPartPicker part list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/KBvvbX Price breakdown by merchant: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/KBvvbX/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor ($309.99 @ Amazon Canada) CPU Cooler: Phanteks - PH-TC12DX_BK 68.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($39.99 @ Memory Express) Motherboard: EVGA - Z370 FTW ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Memory Express) Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($200.99 @ Newegg Canada) Storage: Crucial - MX500 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($141.74 @ shopRBC) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($149.71 @ Amazon Canada) Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Video Card ($679.99 @ Amazon Canada) Case: Fractal Design - Define C TG ATX Mid Tower Case ($124.99 @ Newegg Canada) Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($105.99 @ PC-Canada) Total: $1903.38 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-07-20 04:07 EDT-0400 Thank you
  7. Probably will notice the difference but I am not sure will I care. I guess I need to go to a physical store and see the difference to know.
  8. I am considering the following 2 monitors since they are on sale for Canada Day (pretty disappointed at the sale but oh well) . Dell S2417DG with 165hz and TN panel https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/dell-24-gaming-monitor-s2417dg/apd/210-aizs/monitors-monitor-accessories Dell U2518D and 60hz with IPS panel https://www.dell.com/en-ca/shop/dell-ultrasharp-25-monitor-u2518d/apd/210-amll/monitors-monitor-accessories Both 2560 x 1440. Basically is it worth the money to for high refresh rate and give up the coloring? or should i go find myself a monitor with a VA panel? Or they both suck I should just find a better one with better deal?
  9. No VR, saving for a 1440 monitor with 144hz at the same time, currently just a 1080 with 60hz. I do want something that is future proof
  10. oh right thats why its only 1.6k with all the nice thing. i guess i have to use i5-8400 instead of i7-8700 since its going way over budget. My initial plan was to get the Gigabyte 1080 Windforce since it was on sale for $610 but the sale expired already. Guess I need to hope for a Good Canada Day sale if i want all those nice things. Which motherboard will you suggest tho
  11. Planning to upgrade after 5 years, my budget is around 1.6k CAD. I probably need a good CPU fan for the 8700 but not sure which one to get or should I just use i5-8400 to save money? Anything else i should be aware of?
