Thanks. I updated the drivers. Better, but still underutilized. Why would I update my bios and risk something going wrong. I only changed the gpu out it shouldnt do anything

No one can tell the future.
GPUs? Not much if at all.
CPUs, also not much. They've already been discounted since launch and since they keep manufacturing them even after the new line is out, they won't get clearance pricing or anything of that nature.

@thirdparty @TofuHaroto @Shimejii @xg32 @PoopThatTookAPee Thank you all very much for your input. Was going to wait for new GPUs to drop, but I thought Zen3 was going to be awhile? Either way I'll go for the 3600 (I was under the impression that they were still the same price as the XTs), probably get a little better of GPU, and upgrade the ram to 16gb. Still getting an NVME M.2 as everywhere I look they are the same price as regular SSDs rn??? And as for the mobo, I won't be cheaping out as per reccomendation. Will  probably get a Tomohawk but I'll compare the list given first. Thanks again for the help guys, tremendously helpful and knowledgable as usual around here! ❤️

Not sure why you are going with NVME on a complete budget system like that. Honestly you are also better off with 2x8 Ram 3200mhz cl14/16 ram.

well different motherboards come with different feature sets as well as different VRM phases. the more quality the VRMs, the more smoother, cooler and better your components will run. with a higher priced motherboard, you get better VRM solutions, VRM cooling with heatsinks, multiple m.2 slots, better I/O, wifi, etc. the low price ones generally lack most/all of these.

the b450 tomahawk is a relatively mid ranger board, it offers excellent VRMs, and can easily run your 3600XT, though im not sure why youre putting a nvme drive in a budget build. m.2 sata or regular sata should fit your budget and fulfil your needs.

i would get 16 gigs of RAM, as thats the recommended minimum for gaming and similar tasks.i dont get why youre getting a 3600XT, a 3600 or 3600X should do, youre just getting higher clocks there.

id suggest waiting for zen3 and ampere to release (new gen ryzen cpus and nvidia gpus). that way, you could probably get a better cpu for the same price of the 4th generation cpus, as well as either get a new 3000 series ampere gpu, or a used 2060 or 2060super for the same price

u can get way more performance for the same amount of money if u go with a 3600, regular ssd,  2x8gb ram and a better gpu

Bare mosfets. Crappy mosfets, the board won't power a 4 core let alone a 6 core.

This has way better mosfets/ power stages.
An actual heatsink. Please don't cheap out on a board.
First of all, get a 3600 non xt and save some
money and potentially get a better GPU.
    As for board.
    The tomahawk max.
    Mortar max.
    A pro max (non m).
    Pro 4.
Pro vdh max.  Will all easily handle a 6 and even an 8 core.

agree with tofu.. nvr cheap out on your mobo, learn my lesson by buying asus h110m-k. that thing just keep breaking down after warranty is over. broken audio, broken ram slot.

u can buy 3700x with the money u have for 3600xt OR buy 3600/3300x with much better graphic card
