  1. I'm upgrading my PC in prep for Half-Life: Alyx. Just wanted to get your guys opinion. Which is better for primarily VR gaming (but also light to medium editing in premiere and after effects): i7 9700k or Ryzen 9 3900X? I will be pairing it with an RTX 2080 SUPER and 32gb ram. Thanks
  2. Hey all. I'm currently running an i7 7700k paired with a GTX 1080 and 16gb of RAM. In preperation for HL:A, I want to upgrade my rig, as I am starting to get a few frame drops in some VR titles. I am looking to upgrade to the I9 9700k with the Aorus Z390 AORUS ULTRA. (I'll probably be also moving to 32gb of RAM) So my questions are: Is now a good time to upgrade, or should I wait? Which GPU should I pair this with: 2070 SUPER or the 2080 SUPER
  3. After an update Windows won't boot, repair or reset. It won't roll back to an older version or restore point. chkdsk returns no errors and sfc scannow returns 'recourse protection could not perform the requested operation'. I'm running Windows 10
  4. Personally I would go Nvidia
  5. Is there any method of diagnosing the pump or finding out if it has failed? Thank you.
  6. I have an Asus Maximus IX Hero board and it has all been working fine for almost 8 months. All of a sudden the temperature spiked to about 88 degrees and all the fans went to maximum even though it was idle and in a room temp of about 19. When I rebooted I got the post error message "CPU Fan speed error detected". When I checked the software it says there are no fans connected. My system is water-cooled, don't know if that is important. I have the cooler: Corsair H100i V2 Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advanced.
