I used Pantone swatches in Photoshop since they represent the same color in a 3 or 4 color prosses.

As a 5800x owner, I can confirm that it's indeed a hot boi cpu. It doesn't hurt to go overkill on cooling for this one, I'm using the dark rock 4 with idle temps around 40, gaming around 70 and stress tests can even creep into the mid 80's. I thought I was doing something wrong, but quickly google "5800x temps" and you'll see just how common this is for this particular cpu. More so than any of the CPUs in the Zen 3 lineup, it just runs hotter by nature

Fan should be a problem as i dont use the glass on the case. And why is the air sound so strange, bcs it looks like the fan is touching something instead of trapped air.

I do not belive a xi 750 is enough as well a 3090 just doesn't run on basically any 750w psu. It is probably doing the normal powerspike on start causing a failiure to initialize

I created an account just so I could post this. Someone on Reddit posted these cables and they work great on my LG CX 55in. 4k, 120hz, HDR, & G-Sync no problem!

I use Sennheiser open back headphones. They are good at imaging in shooters(making it easier to identify the direction of sounds).
The best at your price point are the Sennheiser HD 559s at $100 on Amazon.

    jones177 reacted to si1enze in 1440p or 1080p ? 144hz min
1440p is quite a difference visually from 1080p in my opinion in the amount of detail you can see in the overall image.  I just a couple months ago went from 1440p 60hz to 1440p 165hz, and even when games are running at 80-90fps it's a big difference compared to a 60hz display.

A bit more explaination on what @SorryClaire already mentioned with processing stuff that's disabled and also likely what @Mihle means:

The reason why your framerate is "faster" when watching netflix on your TV directly is likely because you have "frame interpolation" enabled. This is a feature that takes a 24fps video for example and "guesses" what it should look like in between the frames and then scales it to 120fps, so your movie will then play in 120fps, even if it's only 24fps natively. And the reason why it doesn't do that when you're using it as a PC monitor is because in PC mode the TV wants to reduce input lag as much as possible. All additional prosessing features get disabled then. Frame interpolation normally adds around 100ms of input lag, which is a big and noticeable increase and the reason why it's disabled in game modes or when the TV detects the input device as a console or PC.

In any case i would strongly recommend using the integrated apps in the TV to watch your content, as this ensures the best picture quality and especially HDR support/processing. Many HDR movies that you watch through PC won't be properly processed by windows and look worse. (Mostly because windows still has garbage HDR implementation). So the best way to enjoy movies with the best possible quality is directly through the Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. apps on your TV.

I hope my elaborate explaination is somewhat understandable and i could help you.

I have the same issue with my RTX 2080 tis(3 slot cards).
Because of this when I built the i9 10900k and R7 5800x rigs I used a GTX 1080 to test and only installed the 2080 tis after.
I don't even try to remove them unless the case is on its side.

RDR 2 was the first game that I tested that the 1080 ti could not reach 60fps on ultra but with Hardware Unboxed settings it was most frames over 60 at 1440p.

From the eye-catching look of the Antec Torque that comes a linear and sober design that has as its main theme the famous game, Fallout. The modification procedures concern the external aspect with the use of specific fabrics with blue and yellow colors giving the connotation and main feature without weighing the view too much. The specific use in the liquid cooling compartment of material that combines blue and yellow parts in contrast, completes the work inside.

Some of the ram I use is from my 2016 i7 6700k build so it can last a long time.

jones177 got a reaction from ForensicRug in Far Cry 5 Performance/Stuttering
All the games you mentioned are open world and load as you go so performance will degrade over time. If you installed a high res texture packs like the one on the setup screen of Far Cry 5 it take less time for the stutters to come.

Even 7200rpm drives will cause stutter over time. The cache on them is designed the move lots of small chunks of data, not large chunks like textures.

The last time I tried to use a 72000rpm HDD it was a WD 5tb Black in 2016. It was fine with my vanilla games but all my modded games were unplayable with stutter.  Four days after buying the WD Black I bought my first 2.5 SATA SSD and it got rid of all the stutter.

jones177 got a reaction from ForensicRug in Far Cry 5 Performance/Stuttering
I have been getting the same frames in some games using the highest preset at 1080p and 1440p ever since I got a 2080 ti.  The worst are GTA 5, RDR 2 and Far Cry 5.

I did install the game on my R7 5800x I built and it averages 127fps in the benches on the highest preset. Both the R7 and 2080 ti, Both are stock. With my 24/7 GPU overclock the average went up tp 134fps.

If the game is on your HDD that can cause stutter.  I stopped even using 7200rpm HDDs for gaming in 2007(for games like MS Flight Sim) and went with 10,000rpm ones until SSDs became cheap.
Even the presents of a slow Hdd can cause stutter in some games thanks to Windows.

Easy to test, just unplug it.
