  1. Hi guys, Today while I was playing League Of Legends, my pc freezed. The sound out of my headphones got freezed too, it did like "bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz". No blue screeb at all. This happened also a few months ago, i got scared a lot, but after booting the pc using the basical components, and after resetting the bios, it worked well till today. So I did the same thing again and it seems to perform well. Actually I'm running the memtest to be sure that my ramsticks are ok (it is still going on), but to be sincere I dont know what the problem is. The only thing that I've noticed is that my onboard soundcard seems gone, it gives no signal. So i reistalled the driver using the one that asus provides, and im gonna check them later afetr the memtest. I 've alseo checked the psu has the right voltages and all was inside the tollerance values. My question is: Do I have something wrong with the pc or it can be caused by some strange update from windows? Cuz the pc worked well for a year, the inside is clean, the cables are in order and I didnt do any heavy tasks recently (but that one shouldnt matter cuz it has the right specs to do that kind of works). I've turned off the overclock during the first freeze. this is my configuration: CPU: Intel i7 8700k COOLING: Noctua NH-D15 MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8x2) DDR4, 3000mhz SSD: Samsung 960EVO 500GB HDD: WD Blu Hard Disk 1Tb + Intel Optane 16GB GPU: Asus Strix Gtx 1080 8GB PSU: Corsair TX650M CASE: Cooler Master MsterBox 5 ADDITIONAL FANS: Arctic F13 PWM x 1, Artic F14 PWM x 1(other 2 should be with the case) Thank you guys for any kind of help, i hope it isnt anything seriuos..... (CPU, GPU), This is my first assembled pc, and i spent a lot of time and effort to save money to build this guy.....
  2. Hello guys, I've recently build my first pc, and now I wanted to overclock the CPU so I wanted to ask if you can give me some tips, and advices. First of all this is my configuration: CPU: Intel i7 8700k COOLING: Noctua NH-D15 with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut (no delidding, only on the IHS) MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8x2) DDR4, 3000mhz SSD: Samsung 960EVO 500GB HDD: WD Blu Hard Disk 1Tb + Intel Optane 16GB GPU: Asus Strix Gtx 1080 8GB PSU: Corsair TX650M CASE: Cooler Master MsterBox 5 ADDITIONAL FANS: Arctic F13 PWM x 1, Artic F14 PWM x 1(other 2 should be with the case) When I first lauched the PC and got into the bios, it told me if I would like to have and 'automatic overclock' (I don't know actually if was named like this, but it clearly meant that) based on the type of cooling, usage etc... I didn't know much about overclocking so I said yes and it did all the work. But now I thing maybe it's better to do it manually to get a better power consumption, performance and other things. I also noticed that the temps during a cpu stress test with cinebench were a little bit high than what I expected (about 40 degrees during idle, and 99 degrees during 100% usage of cpu). But for now I didn't noticed problems in stability and general performance. The noctua is a pretty good cooler, at least they say that it is, I used a liquid metal thermal to get more thermal conductivity, and I think the airflow is good too.
  3. @G.e.oIm writing from my new pc thank you all for the advices~
  4. @G.e.o Yup!!1 thanks for the help, I'll let you know
  5. @G.e.o nop.. i just resetted the cmos again and pressed the f2+del like mad
  6. @G.e.o I just got the bios screen.. now i shut it down to add the components one by one and see if one of those was causing the problem
  7. @G.e.o The psu is a semi modular one. Has the 8 pin connector and the atx cable fixed and i have other 3 sata lines and 2 slots that are marked with pci-e and cpu. Shoul i use those with the 8 pin connector?
  8. @G.e.o Yes, no beeps but it doesnt shuttdown, still no screen
  9. @G.e.o @CaptainKieseI Re plugged all the connections from the psu... but still nothing
  10. @G.e.o @CaptainKieseI I removed gpu, all storages and tried to run with only cpu and ram to see if i can get the bios screen but nothing...
  11. @DocSwag Did it... I turned it on without m.2 ssd, optane, and all sata Hdds. Sasme result
  12. @G.e.o I entered the bios, change some settings, for example I changed the m.2_1 mode to sata mode, and I think i turned on the hyper m.2*16... when i saved all it rebooted, but immediatly shutted down to turn on by it self again for 2~3 secs and turn off again... no beeps
  13. Hi Guys, I'm having a problem with my first pc build.... I've just got all the parts of the new build and set all the components on the mobo and changed some settings on the bios... in particular changed the m.2_1 config to sata mode, and i rebooted. Then the pc turned off, after a second again on than off again.... So i thought to reset the bios as the Z370-e guidebook says.. but nothing I'm really afraid that the cpu is gone... but i DONT know how it could be possible.... Help me guys.... It's my first pc build and I'm so afraid now... This is the config. CPU: Intel i7 8700k + Noctua NH-D15 MOBO: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (8x2) DDR4, 3000mhz SSD: Samsung 960EVO 500GB HDD: WD Blu Hard Disk 1Tb/2Tb + Intel Optane 16GB GPU: Asus Strix Gtx 1080 8GB advanced PSU: Corsair TX650M CASE: Cooler Master MsterBox 5 ADDITIONAL FANS: Arctic F13 PWM x 1, Artic F14 PWM x 1(other 2 should be with the case)
