  1. I thought this too until I read an article on Tom's Hardware which the 9700k beats all of the Ryzen CPUs except in rendering photos and video, which I don't do. The games were showing 10+ FPS advantage. As an AMD fanboy I don't want to go Intel, but a deal is a deal

  3. Hello, I've found a i7-9700k for $299.99 USD at MicroCenter and when I buy a motherboard with it (which I will have to do - currently running a Ryzen 7 1700) I get an additional $30 off. I have found a mother board for cheap. I don't need anything fancy and it fits my needs and has good reviews: Gigabyte Z390 Gaming SLI LGA 1151 ATX Intel Motherboard for $119.99 USD. So I am looking at a total of $389.98 for an upgrade to my computer from a Ryzen 7 1700. Is this a good deal? I was looking at newer Ryzen 3000 series, but this just looks like the better deal, am I wrong? Thanks for the help!
  4. From what you say you have in your build, a GT 740, I don't believe you'll be getting good frame rates no matter how good the port is. Maybe go for an upgrade if you want to run No Man's Sky. AMD just released their Rx460 which is about $100 and I've seen some benchmarks putting it around 30-40 FPS in No Man's Sky
  5. So I bought No Man's Sky on Steam after watching some people stream the game on PS4. I was hoping for a good port, but unfortunately the game suffers from severe frame rate drops and also a few bugs here and there. I am playing the game on my MSI GE62 Apache Pro-239 which is rocking a 970m and i7-6700HQ and 16 GB of ram. (I upgraded from 12 to 16 GB of ram) In the video I show the settings I'm running at. I cranked them down after getting nauseous the first time I opened the game. Everything is pretty much on low. I'm getting an average of 50-60 FPS with dips as low as 9 FPS. The game is playable, but the drops in performance and stuttering can get annoying. Check out the video here. Overall, I've played about an hour of the game. My initial thoughts are: damn they need to patch this, but for real its fun and you get that same feeling you got when you first started MineCraft. I will be posting some more videos on No Man's Sky with some initial thoughts and updates when they decide to hopefully fix the game to make it more stable. That's all for tonight. Let me know if you guys want to know more about No Man's Sky performance on my laptop and be sure to like and subscribe if you like the video and want to see more!
  6. I was just wondering why there isn't a section here for 3D printing? I heard that they were shooting some stuff with 3D printers? I think it'd be a cool idea to have a section for 3D printing, maybe a group like the folding group, but with 3D printing, like get something together where the community prints prosthetic parts for people? I'd be willing to donate time and filament on my printer for a cause like that. Just an idea, but I'm just one person, if we can get a group of people to do some cool 3D printing, I think we could gain some publicity for LMG maybe?? IDK just spitting out some ideas
  7. Only $29.99 no contract. Great device to use as a media device that you don't care if it breaks. I bought two and that made shipping free!!! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/verizon-wireless-prepaid-motorola-moto-g-no-contract-cell-phone-black/3041063.p?ref=199&loc=Es5Ekr9eEBk&acampID=1&siteID=Es5Ekr9eEBk-_Qe0_6N2vPNFZ6.0BqVOMA
  8. I'm just wondering if my Athlon x4 860k will limit the performance of the GTX 960?
  9. Well at the moment I do not have one. I had to sell my robo 3d printer because it was "broke" as in I couldn't find anyone online to help me fix it so I just sold it off
  10. Why isn't there a group on the LTT fourms for 3D printing? Do you think there is really anyone here that is interested in that kind of stuff? And if there is one, could you point me in the direction of it?? Thanks(:
  11. Well I would want it to be able to print as big as possible. I just ran into some money and I've always wanted one so I figured that this is a good opertunity to buy one
  12. I am in the market for a 3D printer. I need recomendations on what to buy with my budget. I have $900. NO MORE than that can be spent on the 3D printer. This includes the shipping cost, and maybe a spool or two if the printer doesn't come with some already. Another requirement is that I would like it to recive it ASAP, so please don't recomend a kickstarter project. Thanks(:
  13. I main support. I play a very aggressive support. I am bronze I, but I have been told multiple times over that I play at a higher skill level than what I am ranked. Let me know if you are interested. My username is McDuly
  14. I need a camera that can record 1080p videos, can record close up, has good auto focus and has good low light recording. My budget is $300. It will be used for YouTube videos that consist of recordings of action figures, trading cards and electronics. Please and Thank you (:
