  1. So if I sub to floatplane tonight, will I be able to watch the roast when I get home from work? (After the stream is over)
  2. would you mind sending a link? I can't find a way to watch it anywhere
  3. I couldn't find the stream from yesterday on twitch. Mind sharing a link?
  4. Thanks! The reason I added the extra ram is because he wants to use the pc to stream games, and I heard that generally you want extra ram for a streaming pc, but I'm not sure if that's 100% true. Thanks for the suggestions!!
  5. PC Parts https://pcpartpicker.com/user/1nvasi0n/saved/zc8NQ7 So my uncle wants to build "a crazy good streaming PC that can play any game maxed out" on a 1080p 144hz monitor. This is what I put together so far, but I'm still kinda new to PC building, especially for streaming. Also the WiFi card is in there on purpose because my uncle can't/ won't get Ethernet in the room he wants the computer. There isn't really a set budget but keeping it around $2,500 or less would probably be good. My uncle also wants the pc to look good with a black and rgb color scheme. Thanks!
  6. Great, thanks! I wasn't sure about how to activate windows afterwards since I bought a digital licence through the windows store when I first built it so this helps!
  7. Dude if you can tell me how then please just do. I've got more than 3 empty text documents on my desktop that I would have to remove and I already said I didn't feel like manually doing stuff; it would take forever and wouldn't be worth it. I'm getting VR stuff soon so I need more space but I don't want to dedicate a bunch of time to deleting stuff. Also saying I can do more interesting stuff with the hardware I use is just stating the obvious. It's not like I just sit around resetting my computer all day every day, and I already know how to deal with installing drivers and all that kind of stuff.
  8. I just have a bunch of old files and crap I don't want on here anymore. I know that I can get rid of those by just using the regular old reset, but I'm just trying to get everything back to default. I think formatting the drive will wipe stuff off of it but I have crap on the drive where windows is installed too so I don't know how to go about that. It's not about making my pc go faster, just more about clearing up space and I don't want to do it all manually or do a half assed job where I only get some stuff but not all of it.
  9. So I want a completely fresh start with my pc. I have already got a windows 10 usb drive to reinstall windows, and no I want to completely wipe my drives and have a 100% fresh windows 10 install, not just the delete most of my apps option built into the settings app. I know this is a noob question but how do I actually wipe my drives to get a fresh start? Thanks!
  10. I have a Netgear AC1750 which supports 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and 802.11 a/n/ac 5GHz I can't really move the router itself and using Ethernet would be cool but my house is wired in a way that apparently AT&T would have to come out and wire stuff up for it to work in my room or something like that.
  11. I'm looking to upgrade my wifi card and I have a budget of about $50. I'm looking to get some more range out of it since the router is way upstairs and one that can get more speed if possible. Currently when I play online games like Rainbow Six Seige, I get disconnected for having bad connection and 9,569 ping (which I think is also caused by connecting to servers hosted in faraway lands but whatever) so I'm trying to fix that problem. Thanks! Here's my current card: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/tTdqqs/gigabyte-wireless-network-card-gcwb867di And here's my current pc (not sure if this matters): https://pcpartpicker.com/user/1nvasi0n/saved/jYRf8d Here are a few parts I'm going to change in the near future (Christmas); shouldn't matter at all, but you never know when a stupid random incompatibility issue will surprise you. Also getting black and red cables from cablemod that are designed for EVGA power supplies since apparently there's not a standard for these things? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4fX9Bb If anyone has some other suggestions relating to stuff to do to my pc I'm down to hear that too. This was my first build I made last summer so I did some weird stuff that I didn't know about back then like getting a motherboard that's pretty decent for overclocking and pairing it with a processor I can't even overclock and having to deal with all the great bonus cables I don't use since I got a non-modular power supply. Thanks for all the help!
  12. I got it, thank you!
  13. I can see it in the place you were saying to go and I can click it, but I don't see an option to format it
  14. So I just finished building my first PC last night, and I have a small SSD with a 2tb HDD. I already installed all of the stuff that I wanmt to on my SSD, so how do I set up the big hard drive now so that everything else like steam games will install to that? When I go into the documents of my computer and go to the pc storage, then I can only see the SSD, but if I go to device manager, then I can see my 2tb hard drive and that it's working. Anyone know how to set this up?
  15. I ended up going with this case. https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-CARBIDE-SPEC-OMEGA-Mid-Tower-Tempered/dp/B077GCKBV3/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529605630&sr=8-1&keywords=Carbide+Series®+SPEC-OMEGA+Tempered+Glass+Mid-Tower+ATX+Gaming+Case&dpID=41XHNGy8YvL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch It probably doesn't have the world's best airflow, but it looks pretty cool. I actually ended up buying all the parts i needed yesterday; thanks for the recommendation though!
  16. Oh sweet! I'm glad they aren't some weird multi colored cables. If I wanted all of my cables to be red, how many should I buy and what kinds of cables?
  17. Oh that's actually cheaper than I thought! If you look back at my top post, You can see the latest edit that has a list of the parts I ordered as well as one more edit below saying the couple of things I changed. It's all pretty similar to the part list you read when I first made this post
  18. Hey man, I just finished ordering all the parts that I need for the PC! One last thing I didn't think of though is will all the parts come with all the cables I need to build it? I know they won't be some fancy light up unicorn hair braided cables, but I would hate to get all the parts in and then realize that I forgot some cables.
