  1. I've had a ton of old HDDs sitting in my room that I ripped out of old PCs over the years and I finally went through them all. I got an old laptop, disabled the network card, and started going through all these hard drives on it. There's something in the Users folder of one of the drives that Windows Defender is throwing a fit over, "SafePCRepair.exe" something for the life of me I cannot find in that folder. I've told it to remove the file, I've gone there and no hidden objects, No matter how many times I delete its parent folder or scan again, nothing changes. If there's actually malware on here, it's from 2015. How do I get rid of this junk safely without losing a bunch of data? Thanks. It's an old Alienware M11x and it's running Windows 10 Home 22H2 19045.3393
  2. I got this fan hub about a year ago (https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-System-Cables-Black-CPF04/dp/B00VNW556I). I didn't use it until about 6 months ago. I plug everything in and only the 3 pin fan and the CPU fan (wraith stealth) works. All the 4 pins were the same fan so I thought the 2 weren't compatible so I gave it to a friend. All his fans were 3 pin so I though nothing of it working. I then transferred it to his brothers build after he got more fans and the 3 pins worked, but his 4 pins didn't. The sata cable was always plugged in, Bios settings for fans were changed, and still nothing. Did I get a defective unit? Is there a way I can fix this? Thanks.
  3. Odd, I wasn't overclocking. I reset windows through windows. Do you have any recommendations for how to completely wipe a drive?
  4. I built my friend a computer and he downloaded a driver from Epson for a X-440 something printer. We then got a bunch of blue screens that almost never had the same error code. I reset windows a few times, and it worked again for a while, but now his PC blue screens every 6 hours, or every 30 mins, but never when gaming, and always with the error code: irql_not_less_or_equal, or driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. His Bios says he doesn't have any RAM. I have cleared the Cmos a few times too. What can I do? Wipe his SSD completely? Would that have any major effects tot eh SSD? Is it a virus? Thanks. 6. So I built my friend a computer about 6 months ago. He installed a printer driver sometime in late October through a program called driver easy. The driver crashed his computer and it took his Samsung 970 evo about 5-10 minutes to boot into windows. The mouse would stutter after that and the audio was heavily distorted. I thought I fixed the problem a few times now but nothing is working. I uninstalled and reinstalled windows about 3 times and it fixed it, but when he turned it on the next morning it crashed and windows did an "auto-repair" which took about 5-15 minutes. It looked fine without the mouse issues, but I think it's going to start glitching again. Some of the error messages I got: kernel auto boost invalid lock release, kernel audio lock acquisition with raised irql, page fault in non paged area, and several others that I forgot. (These were the most recent). Does anyone have an idea of what is going on? Thank you.
  7. No I meant an amp for headphones, not actual headphones. I'll just get rid of them, thanks
  8. I found these speakers in my basement and wanted to know if I could just take a Cable like that, strip one of the ends, and plug it into the center speaker and this Amp? Would that cause any damage? Idon't know much about audio, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. I found these Sony ss-ctb101 's in my parents basement and I was wondering if I could use these at my pc. What kind of receiver, amplifier, or adapters do I need? I don't really want to spend a ton of money. Would it be better to just toss them? Also, they are currently using the sub woofer for their tv, so I don't have it. I really don't know much about audio, so I really appreciate the help. Thanks.
  10. Oh no. I just thought it was only 2 so I was only using 2. I've got all Daisy chained together and it's running smoothly.
  11. Yeah, that's what I've been doing but only with 2 fans. I'll use all of them when I get the chance. Thanks for the help!
  12. Yes. It worked in all the ports I put it in.
  13. I'm most likely just going to re seat all the fans in my case, take off all the dust filters, and if that doesn't work, I'll let the 3 pin and CPU fans pull air and get new case fans.
