    I think at least 5-6 hours realistically, even though i prefer 7-8 hours because i like to go to college without worrying that did i bring the charger with me. @GeneXiS_X

    Yeah, but i think MSI still have better QC than XPS' QC. And i prefer to buy it online because i can get it at cheaper price than buying it locally, and i also shit at negotiating when i buy laptops in local stores apparently hahaha.

    Hey guys, So for the last entire week, i've been thinking to buy MSI GS65 with GTX 1070 Max-Q on it because it has the best value than other thin and light gaming laptops like Razer Blade 15 (which is overpriced), Gigabyte Aero 15X (which is rare to find in Indonesia), and ASUS Zephyrus (the battery life is just horrendous). I'll probably but it this summer and hope the newer laptops can bring this laptop's price down. And if you think there are better laptops than GS65 for my needs (which i'll put below this) just give me a shout. My needs: - Must have at least GTX 1060 in it - CPU is at least an i7 (U-series or H-is not really matter even though i prefer H) - 16 GB of RAM - The accuracy of the display is at least 90% sRGB for video editing or photo editing (not really care about Adobe RGB), not really care about the refresh rate because i prefer quality than quantity - Less than 2kg (that's 4.4 pounds for Americans / British) - Have Thunderbolt 3 - Thin display bezels - Good build overall - Can be seen in under the Sun (Not a primary needs / just my niche) And i'll link my previous forum about searching my new laptop;

    Yeah, i know about the limitations in Huawei's laptop like the Thunderbolt only supports 2 instead of 4. So, what about some good which cheaper (if there are one) or more or less the same price as those two laptops. The preference is still the same the only diffrence is forget about the Dedicated GPU but has a Thunderbolt 3 in it (not really care if it's 4 or 2 lanes).     The more time goes by and i begin to actually prefer a Dell XPS 13 or Huawei Matebook X Pro and just buy a external graphics to do gaming. But i prefer Huawei because i can do light gaming with it's MX150 even though notebookcheck said the GPU performance is not really on par with other MX150 laptop. Which i don't really mind if it won't throttle like my UX430UN.

    i've seen some reviews but again i'm like dissapointed why asus don't want to include a thunderbolt 3 port. Because i really like to create a mobile workstation with having a monitor, external peripherals etc. And the display's brightness said need to be brighter, the same problem as my current laptop.

    oh but are those laptops good though? I was just done seeing some laptops in the nearby computer mall and the one who catches my eye is ASUS Zenbook UX533FD (yeah the successor of my current laptop, ASUS Zenbook UX430UN)

    Just to do some basic computer science student stuff like coding, but i also wanted the laptop able to do gaming. Usually i wanted the kinda OK graphics card like MX150 but i recently wanted to play some more graphically demanding games yet my budget can be limiting. So a laptop who has at least more than 6 hours battery life, light, thin, and small but also can do a good gaming (at least has GTX 1050 in it).

    How about Huawei Matebook X Pro? But i think it would be hard to found it in Indonesia and the spec bump is non-existent because it has the same CPU and GPU.

    maybe because i liked to keep my laptop on charged to 100% every day if i don't use them too much outside of my dormroom. And also would you guys also can give me some tips to prolong battery life cycle? yeah, i've read many people's complain about dell xps 15 1970. can you be more specific about what usage means? and i only use online stores for price comparison because sellers from online stores who sell very expensive things (like xps laptop) is not really trusted in indonesia. That's why i prefer to buy it from a retailer or that sort of thing in a electronic shopping centre. i think the max weight is 1,8 to 2 kg and at least 7 hours or more battery life just in case i use it when i go outside to do some assignments and i also get used to use a thin and light laptop to travel like my current laptop now (i've mention the laptop earlier with some of my complains about it)
