Brother got a reaction from majicpablo in Xclaim XI-3 Indoor AP
In a house with 4 people this would mean, assuming everyone has at least 2 devices, no more then 10 devices and not all of them working at once, so the multiple connections stability is not an issue even for a consumer device.

The range might be important but note that the range by itself is not that remarkable, you will not connect from down the street, but the thing is if you are connected it just works, and you will not notice (in most cases) that the bandwidth is slower from a long distance.

Other benefit is it will connect fast, and that seems like something little but it becomes so seamless that in time you forget that you are connected to something (again with the saying, it just works).

Also if you are not transferring files trough the wifi network you can go with the cheaper Xi-2 or 1 models and you will be OK, but in many cases a simple consumer solution will be just fine, though you being in this tread is a little sign you know what Linus is rambling on about and your WIFI just doesn't work

Sorry for the long ramble from me too but it is complicated.

Not to mention, we need more of those "Stuff that doesn't suck", handy tech under $100 ( perhaps this time, handy techs under smaller prices.), and part 5 of watercooled room.

Vessel seem to have missed the high resolution, I am not sure but it looks like videos there are only 720p???

Other then that the menu is different but I think I like it , also the feed offers new things and more diversity.

Recommending a chair to anyone is tough because everyone's body is unique to their own as well as their tastes. The first think I would want to know from you if whether or not this chair will be something you plan on using 6+ hours a day on a daily basis. If so, you should seriously consider buying a chair with a contoured, upholstered seat rather than a mesh seat. Please take a minute to read this excerpt from thehumansolutionblog.com.

I make a point to address this issue because the Herman Miller Aeron chair might be the most popular of high end chairs and many put them to a higher standard. And while I do think they are wonderful chairs, they really aren't built for prolonged sitting hours. I personally felt the fatigue after working in an office where I've sat on these for 8+ hours on a daily basis.

As for my own personal chairs, I use the Ergohuman model LEM4ERG for home use and a Herman Miller Sayl for my work place. The Ergohuman chair is very adjustable and fits my needs. The build quality is very good although I will confess that it's not on the level of some chairs that I've seen in the $1000+ range. At work I bought my own chair, the Sayl by Herman Miller. I think its the perfect chair for the office environment and very stylish to boot. If you consider buying this chair, you will need to go with a lot of options not found in the stock model, such as adjustable armrest, adjustable seat depth, and adjustable lumbar. One major reason I bought this chair was for its back. The flexible material feel fantastic on your back and will move and flex with the movement of your body while in the the chair, similar to the Herman Miller flagship Embody, which I will get to in a minute.

    My two chairs below:

As for other chairs I can recommend, there are plenty out there but some that come to mind are the Knoll Generation, Steelcase Leap and Humanscale Freedom chairs. I've sat in all of these and can tell you that they are great chair, although they just didn't fit me the way my current chairs did. My roommate for example owns a fully built Humanscale Freedom chair and he loves it! He swears it's changed his life because he suffered from discomfort in his back and shoulders prior to owning this chair. But for me, the way the Freedom chair's mechanics work just didn't float my boat, as the entire backpiece and head rest of the chair moves and re-adjusts with your leaning positions. And this is why I suggest going out to sit in them. You should never buy a car without test driving it first.

Here's some pics of the Generation, Leap and Freedom chairs. +back side of the Freemdom chair with its back support on sliders.

And I would like to add that the two most comfortable chairs I've personally sat on are, 1) Herman Miller Embody, which almost feels like the back support is a part of your body. It can twist and turn and flexes with your movement in a very natural way. 2) Steelcase Leap Worklounge chair, which feels like luxury in all its glory. You kinda melt into that seat. The caveat to both of these chairs is the price. The Embody fully built is aroun $1400 and the Leap Worklounge is about $2400. Very expensive, I know. The Steelcase Gesture chair looks like a cool chair, although I can't vouch for it since I haven't tried it out. But it is another example of a high end chair that might better suit your needs.

Embody, Leap Worklounge with sliders (can order them with casters), and the Gesture.

You can check out other chairs at http://www.smartfurniture.com. They have video reviews for some the chairs and are pretty informative. I actually bought my Sayl chair from them and it was a pleasant experience.

YouTube also has a lot of chair reviews you can check out to narrow down what you are looking for in a chair that works for you . Hope this helps.

This series of videos couldn't come at a better time.  I was just realizing today how awful my current chair is and how desperately I need a new one.  I have no interest in going to the office store and buying one of their "quality" chairs, it will be one purchased online that comes highly reputed.
Please hurry with the other reviews so that I can make a decision and buy a good chair.  My back will thank you!

very disappointed with this so called "review".
-no detailed explanation/experience if it helps with proper sitting posture over long period of time.
-no detailed explanation/experience how it copes with non proper sitting posture (which alot of gamers do like leaning on the side, crossed legs, feet up, leaning backward, etc... example).
-no info if the chair overheats your body(especially your back on a hot day) for prolong usage.
-no info of how comfortable it is for the back of your knees(does it feel like your legs are getting tired, numb ,etc... "loss of blood circulation").
-how solid is the build quality (does it feel cheap or would likely break over long period of time (like the armrest, knobs, etc...), does it squeak, how about durability like accidental scratch to the finish of the leather (does it feel like it is gonna rip easily) and body).
-how smooth does the chair rotate and roll?
-how easy/hard it is to dial the chair to get the sweet spot setup?

since you decide to review chairs I highly suggest you review the legendary Steal Case Leap as it has been in production for more than a decade and has been the most highly recommended high end chair for enthusiast.

Herman Miller Embody is also a very highly acclaimed high end chair and many enthusiast consider it the current best chair money can buy.

rule of thumb for freenass is for every 1tb of hdd space its 1gb of ram if i am correct. im going to be doing a freenass build with a athlon 5350 (2ghz quad core) thats like 50$ and like a 70$ motherboard CAD with 4x4tb hdds and 16gb ram but a lot of people are sugesting the i3's i just think the way im planing is more cost efective i also plan on using a node 304

That board is fine, the only bad thing about it really is 2x RAM slots.

For really any freenas build, if you're going to be using ZFS the minimum amount of RAM you should have is around 8gb, so i would think about getting at least that.

Going with a lower end celeron should be fine.

Edit: i have two pools, one running 3x3TB drives, one running 6x750gb drives. I wish i had more than 16gb of ram, it eats it all up.

If you check out my signature, there's a FreeNAS build I did about a month ago for just the purposes you were describing: remote cloud-type storage and Plex. The one thing I found is that this amount of storage along with Plex will absolutely EAT your RAM. I started out with 4GB, and after a week of near 100% utilization with some glitchy transcoding, I bought another 4GB stick.

The Pentium I have is more than enough to keep up with two simultaneous 1080p streams (most I've tested it with).

As far as your mobo goes, it doesn't really matter so long as it's cheap and has enough SATA connection for your drives. ZFS RAID from FreeNAS is handled by the OS, so you don't need a RAID card or anything like that (in fact, it's detrimental to do so because of the dead sector detection of ZFS).

If your primary concern is money, I wouldn't bother with ZFS. UFS does just fine and you only need 4GB of RAM for it at most (not counting VMs like Plex and OwnCloud), so you should be able to get by with 4GB with what you plan to do.
ZFS' strengths are enterprise level features. If money is your concern, you will most likely never reach the point where those will be useful, so I would just stick with UFS.
I wouldn't even bother with the mSATA personally as an OS drive. A USB is just fine for FreeNAS' OS. If you wanted to get some extra performance, you could use that for cache though.

And now that you added the second 4GB how is the utilization? The only thing I am afraid of is that also everybody around says that the LAN needs to be Intel that is why I liked that board.

    Hi,

I am in the process of building a NAS for myself, I tried out the interface of FreeNAS and I like it, because I won't do too much with it other then a PLEX madia server and Owncloud I am using only 2x2GB of RAM maybe if I see the need will update to 2X4GB in the future, I will use only 3xWD Red 2TB disks and that is all I think.

The case will be a FD Node 304 so mITX board, and now to the question.

    I found this one:

    http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4844#manual -  about 75 Euro.

it has a Intel LAN and I can use mSATA for a very small SSD for system disk also it has 3x SATA 6Gbps so enough for me.

Is this setup good or I have to think of something else, is the board OK and should I get an i3 or can I go with a lower end Celeron dual core?

    Thank in advance!
