  1. Meaning it can disable 1 PCIE slot instead of a Sata port?
  2. Well my motherboard is Asus Strix Z370-H. Currently I'm using WD Green 120gb SSD. My initial plan is that I wanted to utilize the m.2 slot so that I can occupy all 6 sata port for my mechanical hard drive & boy I was so wrong, the next thing I know it took away 1 sata port which basically spoils the purpose. So my next course of action is to remove the 120gb ssd replace it with the intel optane memory 32gb module to boost up my 3TB 7200rpm Toshiba mechanical hard drive as my main drive. But before I do, I have to gather some relevant information before hand.
  3. So I'm fully aware that once a M.2 ssd occupy M.2 slot on the motherboard it will disable one of the SATA port. If let's say I plug in only an Intel Optane 32gb memory module M.2 to boost my mechanical hard drive, will the occupied optane memory M.2 slot disable one of my SATA port too? Just wanna make sure before I opt for an intel optane memory. Thanks
