  2. Windows hypervisor platform is hyper-v, what is already enabled in the screenshot However i agree with enable windows virtuaø mschine platform I found this on anothe forum: https://superuser.com/questions/1754051/virtualization-is-enabled-in-bios-but-is-not-working-in-windows-11 So make sure you disable Core isolation if you have it
  3. Do think you these are fine? Massive ebay link so i added formatting: ebay.com
  4. Do have any anti-static bags you recommend from ebay or amazon?
  5. Hello! I was wondering what would be a good way to store many older cpus. Ive heard anti-static bags are a good option. And anti-static foam, but what is generally used to store old cpus, and what do you use (if you store old cpus) Ive also heard people put them in the original boxes, but i dont have any.. Any help is greatly appreciated .
  6. He wrote a section in the description, that said "Parts" maybe thats what you need i saw there were some items labeled as cables down there. Edit: its was just aux cables, so nvm
  7. Ok, What are we supposed todo with that information? We need to know the errorcodes or code?
  8. I forgot my charger at home, so i went looking for alternative ways to charge my laptop. Lets get to the problem.. I got a bright idea: My phone can charge from USB-C cant laptops aswell? i quickly googled: HP Laptops can chargw from USB-C, i tried and it worked. But only when 100% powered off, After POST (After leaving the bios) it would stop charging. This problem is only with USB-C, But i havent tried with the standard AC as i forgot it at home. But then it stopped charging from USB-C after running out of battery after one charge. i began googling found it can blow capitors in the pc with low-wattage usb-c, But then i found HP says its fine: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/3-different-ways-to-charge-laptop-without-charger TLDR: Is it bad to charge hp probook g7 with a low wattage USB-C (can i blow the capitors)? or is hp correct or did hp mean that i needed a power brick? https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/tech-takes/3-different-ways-to-charge-laptop-without-charger
  9. Scripts cannot elevate themselves. But you can however just run put sudo in front of the command to run the script like this: sudo bash your_script.sh then the script will be run as root. But remember tp be careful when using sudo. root can be dangerous to your system if used in the wrong way.
  10. i would think it would rub faster yes, BUT i strongly advise against leaving only 20gb left on your disk, having a too full windows disk can slow down windows, and other things. Based on this offsite link: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/full-should-let-hard-drive-get-79132.html You should keep this much space free: But i would keep the 30gb free and just take the extra loading time. Depending on your ssd size, you have to make the judgement if its worth it or not ofcourse.
  11. i checked the disk with crystal disk utility, it said it was fine. Then 1 or two week(s) later the entire drive dies. Windows cannot read it, Ubuntu can read only directories, Only input / output errors all the way. When trying to list directories with ls: Input/Output error cannot read contents on "."
  12. Heres are some of my favorites: W3Schools (only c++, tho) Udemy geeksforgeeks.org/c-programming-language
  13. Pratice, lots of pratice. Watch some turtorials, But not too many! Do make sure you follow good pratices. Maintain and refactor your code. Thinkabout the logic of the code you arw writing.
  14. I think they check the forums once in a while yes, maybe less of bossman linus, but the lmg team checks once in a while i think.
  15. Hello folks! I have a hdd in my PC that was laying around my room before i used it in my build 1 half years ago. Its an WDC WD5000AAKS-22V1A0. I recently heard this clicking noise from my PC, my first thought a bad fan or a bad harddrive. But the thing is, the sound is too high pitch and fast for it to be click of deaths ive heard before on youtube. The HDD reports "Good" in crystal disk info, no warnings to show. The HDD has a S.M.A.R.T Feature, should tell me if someone is gone bad, right? The noise sounds a lot like HDD clicking. But too loud to be normal reading. See attached file for recording of noise. Also sorry for loud noise of my moving phone, i was trying to record the noise. Also the noise began while playing TS4, TS4 is installed on that disk, stopped a little after unfocusing TS4 and entering crystal disk info. TD;DR Anxiety inducing high pitched disk clicking. 20211025_183759_1.mp4
  16. Well, i would manually sort the files i need on my pc, Programming / scripting is a bad solution for me (and maybe you too?) I would simply manually sort it all. But of course if the folders are like 60+.. then maybe its more of an automation task yes. For that, when i sort forum posts from stackoverflow etc, i simply use folders with bookmarks in a browser. Those are my ideas, hope i could help
  17. Im not sure but heres my theory : First it checks if wifi is connected, then it fetches some kind of API, Then prints the response from the api into a serial, with Serial.printLn() Then gets a http response from HTTP POST sending that json it got from the API with the request POST request. Then printing the response of that POST request to serial using Serial.printLn() If you google what a POST request does, You may find more answers on why its sending that response with http.POST()
  18. i agree that this is probably the best solution. But i wanted to add a note: If you come across the use of the eval function, dont use it, i looks like this: eval("print('helloworld')) // in your case, // you can come across this: // dont use it. eval("2+2") DONT use it, it is very very bad pratice.
  19. That shows you have some kind of script / autorun that closes the cmd instantly after launch. And the error (red text) is that you need to set allow powershell to run unsigned scripts, as it will not launch your profile script without it being signed. Heres something you can try: (offsite link) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5373137/cmd-exe-closes-immediately-after-calling-win7-64 Heres the solution from that link:
  20. It could close automatically because of an errorcode / startup command. Open powershell Type "cmd" in powershell, see what it outputs. Then show us, and we can help from there. Well, Powershell can mostly if not better yes. but its nice to resolve bugs anyway. Also powershell and cmd dont work in the same way, some old commands and things simply dont work in powershell.
  21. You dare oppose our glorius leader Anthony? Maybe try a different distro? Like Pop OS? Ive had poor experiences with Linux mint aswell, but my experience with Ubuntu has been great so far apart from the nvidia drivers are a mess sometimes but since there is a safe graphics boot option its fine. Anyway for gaming i would suggest maybe Pop OS? Anthony has made multiple videos on how to game / use steam on Pop OS on the linus tech tips channel :
  22. The explanation here i think is that when using windowed mode you are using smaller window, therefore less for the computer to render, less strain on the computer, therefore less lag and more resources for the game to run smoothly. Somethings you can try to do to lower strain on the computer in fullscreen are: Lower the reselution of the game in the game settings. Turn down some other graphics settings. However this does need to be the case, sometimes you can have a good pc and its just slow for some reason or another, or you pc is simply just taking on the years a little. Also what are your pc specs? Maybe we can help further then?
  23. Is there anything more ont he name? like b450 a pro max or something? if so you can use this guide (not my guide, found it on google search): Its probably simmilar on all the b450 motherboards, worth a shot right? or you could always try this guide from msi, but its more aiming at just the generell msi motherboard and not a specific one. https://www.msi.com/blog/How-to-Enable-TPM-on-MSI-Motherboards-Featuring-TPM-2-0
