Didrik reacted to Eigenvektor in I just need help to choose (GTX 970 or RTX 2060 for host/VM?)
In that case I'd use the faster/more modern GPU on the host and the other one for the VM. If you're not doing anything in the VM that requires 3D acceleration (or only occasionally), no real need to bind the faster GPU to it.

You dont need a GPU for a VM. What exactly is the reason you are looking to assign a GPU to vm? Considering both are Nvidia GPUs, use the one you feel like it.

    Fair.
If it's done properly the cables that leads to the socket is in a tube. And you can easily pull new cables trogh with a cable puller.
And you probobly have not to change the socket.

For the best result. Sand, wash, dry, primer, the paint you want, and if you want to be fancy a clearcoat.

or the easiest way, you can just spray over with new paint.

Hello, 2 years ago I made a 6 DOF racing simulator and I never really finished the electronics case until now. So here are the pictures from the build and a short video with some explanation. If you want pictures from a specific part of the build process, let me know.

The first time you boot it can take up to 1-2 minutes for the motherboard and bios to initialize, but usually around 20-30 seconds.
If you turned it off every time due to impatience, you can be fooled.

Also, unfortunately this particular model doesn't have bios flash through usb, which would have allowed you to insert a usb stick with the latest bios and press a button and update the bios without even having a cpu installed.
It could be you simply have an older bios version that doesn't support the 5xxxg processors.

5600g support was added with bios 7D14v25.zip  which was made available for download on the 1st of July this year, so less than 2 months ago. Could be the board is older than 2 months.

So an option would be to find an older cpu and update the bios with that cpu, then go back to your 5600g.  Or, return the 5600g and get something else, and a separate video card.

First i would recomend getting another internal hardrive or tear the external drive apart and put that none inside (Less chanse of someting going bad physically to the drive.

    My assumptions
    GPU: 2-3 Years (AAA Games 1080p med/high 60fps)
    RAM: 4-7 Years
SSD: NOW (128gb in my opinion is way to smal for a os drive in 2021)
PSU: After CPU and GPU upgrade probably.
CPU:  2-7 Years (6 Cores that can boost at ca 4ghz will be good for a long time for 1080p i believe but you can never totally know)

Good choice. I had the no xxx one, not really that good.
You'll need to test each module individually. If they all show no errors, there might be a problem with the dual channel on your board

Yep, that's not good. Looks like you have bad memory. You will likely need to replace at least one module, but wait for the test to conclude before doing anything.

Nothing that you can run within Windows. You can try running Windows Memory Diagnostic (Win+R, enter mdsched.exe) if you'd like, but it may not give you what you're looking for.

Yep, your PSU is fine, it's in Tier A on the PSU tier list.
Check that your XMP profile is set to 15-16-16-35.

Have you tried to update the BIOS? A lot of older Ryzen mobo’s BIOS was, well, not great. I’d start there...
