    I've had a 5700XT since release day, mine has never crashed or shown even a tiny bit of instability. People are always so quick to blame drivers without having any real evidence its the driver at fault.

    Shame money is so tight because this upgrade path is slow and is buying properly end of life components with no resale value.
     
    But this is the way to make the most out of what you have with what you can afford.

    I wrote this post wondering about the market to drive next gen GPUS. 
    Theres no point in going next gen as a mainstream gamer unless you're trying to drive a 4k monitor native (DSLR is a thing I know)
    How many PC users have upgraded the monitor? 
    Because if you're going to spend £500+ on next gen GPU and you need to then pay at least £200 for a monitor its going to reduce the market a bit.
    My gut feeling is that next gen GPUs with cost 30% more than similar tier cards from the current gen.
     
    I've found my 1440p sweet spot with a 5700xt. That me happy for a few years until games start routinely using raytracing.

    I've replaced TIM and also delidded and reset the heat shield. (Grizzly LM)
     
    That had a HUGE impact. Dropped 20C under prime stressing.
     
    Looking at that YT vid it looks like I could just service it without cutting the hoses.
    Pop the plate off and scrub the fins. Flush and replace the coolant. (Auto anti freeze? Really?)
     
    Idle temps being warm is not a bother if load temps are 75 ish. But right now both idle and load temps are creeping up.

    Yeah, 6 vga CRTs. That wins every time.
    You'll get them for free.
