  1. Hi everyone thanks for all the replies. Are there any decent wireless option available to me that would work in my situation?
  2. Hi folks That time has come around again and its time to replace my Hyper X Revolver S headset. The problem I have is that my desk is in the living room of my house so the headset cannot leak any sound. I have tried the Logitech G935s as I previously had the G930s which I loved, and replaced under warranty 3 times due to a design fault. The G935s had very good sound, but they leak sound like crazy. Being partially deaf I have the volume quite high and that would have driven my wife to kill me off, and I do so value my life. I like the Revolver S but tbh I don't think the sound was as good as the G935s. I can't use Steelseries since I have tried them twice before and the software causes my system to crash especially in games. I have a budget for headphones and mic / headset of around £200 GBP Obviously I am looking for closed back. The usage is going to be mostly gaming things like Far Cry/Fallout/Outer worlds that sort of thing, with a lot of movies and youtube videos. Any help you could give would be appreciated

Hi folks Thanks to the great advice I got of some members from this forum I currently have an Asus VG27AQ on order. My problem now lies in deciding how to connect it to my PC. To run this monitor at 1440p @ 165hz what cable should i use? I was going to buy a Display port cable but was unsure since I haven't had to deal with a 165hz monitor before and the specs say it only has DP1.2 on the back not 1.4 Many Thanks
  5. Many Thanks for the reply and help I've got a couple of weeks before I order the monitor so hopefully there will be some stock on the LG at a decent price. Thanks again
  6. Hi Thanks for the prompt response. I have looked at the LG and it looks and sounds great but no one has it in stock, Novatech said they don't and don't know even if they will ever be getting any more in. The Asus I have just one question about...How does it compare to the ASUS RoG Swift PG278Q that Linus reviewed back in 2014?? Is it of a similar standard? Just asking because I just watched his review of that monitor, and it is still available here in the uk for a similar price to the one you have recommended.
  7. Hiya folks I am looking to upgrade my Monitor from my current cheap ultrawide to something better for gaming and with a higher refresh rate. It is to be paired with a RTX2070. My aim is for something that is better for gaming...I play games like Fallout 76, Far cry 5, Skyrim etc I was looking towards getting a 1440p 27"-30" with a refresh rate of 120Hz and above. My Budget since I am in the UK is an Maximum of around £550 - £600 GBP Now I have seen loads of Monitors out there that fit but the problem has been weeding out the bad ones so I come to you good folks for advice. A quick note the monitor will have to be purchased through Amazon uk since it is being paid for by 2 years worth of Christmas and Birthday present vouchers. Any help you could give or recommendations would be most appreciated. Quick Edit - I don't know if this is relevant but I hate motion Blur which is pretty all my current monitor shows when moving lol
  8. OK I bought the Beyerdynamic DT 770 80 ohms and I must say that I have never been so disappointed with a headset or headphone as much. The say they are noise Isolating but they are not, with the headphones on it is EXACTLY the same as having them off. Do not buy these if you want sound isolation in any shape or form. They leak sound like crazy and have been a complete waste of money. All I can say is thank goodness for Amazons refund policy! Any other suggestions please?
  9. Nice one thank you very much for all your help ?
  10. Thanks for the reply again A couple of questions more if I may... Whats the difference between the 80 ohm studio and the plain 80 ohm ones? How good are modern headphones with noise cancellation at blocking noise like TVs and voices or would I be better off looking for noise isolation still?
  11. Thanks for the reply Which version of the DT 770 would be best to get there are 4 versions on amazon... 250 ohm studio 32 ohm mobile 80 ohm studio 80 Ohm https://www.amazon.co.uk/beyerdynamic-770-PRO-Studio-Headphones/dp/B0016MNAAI/ref=sr_1_1?adgrpid=54821970602&gclid=CjwKCAjw0ZfoBRB4EiwASUMdYd7CRTC05aswWsWl9i9WJEh9J_gtQpuNnZMec3o5s4Rle-ELoj_iYBoCkzMQAvD_BwE&hvadid=259052657183&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9045312&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t3&hvqmt=e&hvrand=14903361456164358285&hvtargid=kwd-295202004466&hydadcr=28691_1664186&keywords=dt770&qid=1560687569&s=gateway&sr=8-1&th=1 Someone suggested the Audio-Technica ATH-M50X how does that compare? Also sorry can you suggest a good cheap mic to go with it please?
  12. Hiya folksI need help finding a headset or headphones and separate Mic, that could be used in a noisy environment i.e. Living room with the wife and TV nearby, and I really don't want to have to listen to the insane jabbering on Love Island any more.I currently have a set of HyperX cloud revolver S and the sound from them is great and the wife cannot hear anything I am listening to but...I can hear everything that happens in the room.I desperately need a set of headphones to work on a PC that will isolate me from all the noise around me. It is mainly for gaming and watch videos, so a decent surround sound would be good. My budget is around £160 and I am in the Uk.I have tried the Logitech G935s since I have previously had the G930s, But the G935s basically blocked no noise in either direction. I am looking more towards noise isolating headphones since noise cancelling doesn't get rid of high pitched voices well I have read Thanks in advance
  13. The wireless isn't a necessity since I am sat right by the computer. It just so happens that the ones with ANC tend to be wireless.
  14. Hiya folks I am a long time viewer of LTT but first time posting on the forums and would like some advice on headsets, please. Basically what I am looking for is a Headset for use in a Livingroom so that I can hear my games and videos etc but the wife cannot, also I am looking for a set that would block out the noise of a TV and soap operas in particular :P My max budget is £150 - £200 GBP. Now the set I am looking at, at the moment is the Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC, Over-Ear Wireless Headphone with Active Noise Cancellation. Can you foresee any problems with these or have an alternate suggestion? Thanks in advance Link top amazon for the headset is https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-HD-4-50-Headphone-Cancellation-Black/dp/B01MSZSL4I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526494259&sr=8-1&keywords=Sennheiser+HD+4.50+BTNC
