  1. Sorry for not updating in a couple of days. Real life got in the way. But started sleeving cables Sunday, got the 24 pin and 8 pin CPU cables done then. Finished the 4 pin CPU and 8 Pin EPS tonight. 24 pin under construction. Also re-positioned the rad for better tubing flow. Will start bending tubing tomorrow evening, after a slight modification to the psu cover to allow for the pump/res.
  2. UPDATE! So, got the rad finished, and even started the build. Would have got more done, but kept losing power due to thunderstorms. What fun!

  4. Thanks. My buddy has a thing for white and red. The only reason I did not paint the blades, is because I was afraid of getting them out of balance.
  5. So, this is my first build log, but by no means my first build. This project all started with a guy I work with wanting to upgrade his RAM. He is currently using an IBuyPower rig ( I cringed also), with Ryzen 5 1600x, 8Gb of RAM all on an ASUS MicroATX board, 1TB HDD, and a 400 watt power supply by some unknown manufacture. While discussing the possible RAM upgrades, he just asked about doing a complete overhaul. New mb, ram, storage, everything, except the CPU, which hey I would've at least went with Ryzen 7 but, not my money. So, after some discussion, he settled on the following Case Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-OMEGA RGB MB Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WIFI AMD 50 Edition Ram Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32Gb 3200MHZ White PSU Corsair RM750x HD 1 - WD Black M.2 NVME 250 GB 1 - WD Blue SSD 1 TB GPU MSI GeForce GTX 1060 He also decided to watercool the cpu. Will be using a XSPC Raystorm Pro waterblock, Black Ice Nemesis 240GTS Xflow rad, and XSPC ION pump/res. Now this where I get to tear up stuff (which I'm really good at :)). I didn't think of taking pictures of the actual products before I tore into them, but I am providing stock photos. The Case The Inside ... a lot to work with here. Ok ... so I'm adding the fan because its getting a make over too Now I have all of this and paint too ... what ever shall I do Well this Had to make some changes to the fans. And the GPU. And of course the case needed some special love from a can. That's where I am as of this post. The rad's last coat of paint is drying overnight, along with the mounting brackets for the pump/res. I should start some assembly tomorrow and also start the custom cable sleeve I'll be doing for this build. I will post more pics tomorrow as the build progresses.
