  1. Read the long post I posted above to see what I wrote about the PS4 Pro with regards to noise. Also I wrote that the PS4 Pro can game at 4k. It costs £350. You can only get ONE part of a PC for that price - a Ryzen 3700x. Then you need a £1,000 GPU to play at 4k. A £230 mobo. A £100+ PSU. £220 RAM. ETC
  2. I have built a fair few PC's. I don't give a f*** about the FEELING I get after building one. I care about noise levels, cost and my gaming experience. Console graphics (especially PS4 Pro) look more or less the same as PC. Spent a few hours today on youtube watching comparison videos. Most games are fast don't forget. You don't stand around in most games looking at every minor detail such as the carvings in a stone wall nor do you pause, and zoom in 4-10x as they do in some comparison videos. You can't even do that anyway. That was done in video editing (zoom).
  3. I got 2 faulty HAF X's and each time I built in them and my builds take forever (days, as I am very careful with cable management) back in 2012 so Coolermaster said pick any case you want to replace it with. I chose the Stormtrooper that I still have (same build from 2012 as I never built a new one nor upgraded). It had rattling but not this bad since day 1. I complained but the guy made a suggestion (contact was via email), which was to check the HDD cage was secured, which obviously as I spend days building (part of the time consumption is making sure each screw is in perfectly), it was, and I really wanted to play Borderlands 2 and have the PC running, so I didn't bother following it up with him. That small rattle became unbearable over the years. I tried for years to isolate the noise. No idea wtf is rattling. Here at the bottom of the page is a video I filmed of it (Crank up your volume): GPU that died recently is a Gigabyte Windforce 3x OC 7870. OMFG. This card is STUPID loud. Well was. Idling it sat at 40% which was STUPID loud. I had to set it to 20% for it to be quiet. Then when I wanted to game I would have to remember to open the AMD control panel again and set it to Auto again as it was originally. In game the fans were SO loud. Then there are all the BSOD's, Gigabyte never released the CPU fan controlling software for my mobo which rendered me unable to play Fortnite as I started using Speedan which took weeks to learn how to use and calibrate, but Fortnites anti cheat thing thinks its a cheating tool and wont run the game. Without speedfan my CPU would overheat in game so that was a no go. Reinstalling the OS is a MAJOR deal. It is VERY time consuming to try to remember every little thing you need to backup before a reinstall. Facebook purity settings, game saves, software settings, bookmarks etc etc etc. I spent £204 on the GPU back in 2012. Which isn't that much but it's not cheap either. Nor was the case cheap. Point being is you say I don't have to build and expensive PC, but even at those price points the components were inferior. There is nothing to be done differently as you put it. All the sound issues I have had to endure are manufacturing/design errors. I read even the 2080 GPU is loud. Thats a top tier GPU. I also read that a 2070 Super will only JUST run AAA titles at 1440p and to run 4k I need a 2080 at least. That is a £1,000 GPU. The PS4 Pro can game at 4k and costs only £350. The price of a Ryzen 3700k. One component inside a pc. ONE. There is no joy in building a PC when this is the long term result. Consoles are plug and play. However for the past few hours I have been researching into PS4 Pro noise and it turns out it is VERY noisy. So now I'm like WTF do I do. PS4 Pro is too noisy..... Oh yeah, top fan on case has a ticking noise. They sent me a new fan - same issue. Front fans too loud. Nightmare to build and own a 'custom PC'.
  4. Name of site to get legal free AAA games you write about please? Almost none of those games you list are AAA.... Is gaming on a PS4 Pro that bad? I would be gaming on a 4K TV. I would get the PS5 when it comes out to replace the PS4 - IF I choose to go down the console gaming route.
  5. Is the frame rate an issue going from PC gaming? Does the PS4 Pro lag much in games? BTW PEOPLE I will be buying a 4k TV so .... the PS4 Pro will have to game at 4k.....
  6. But I want to know pros and cons before I make a choice. I went from the Sega Master System to Gameboy to Xbox (original) to PC, to PC and PS3, and now .... well my PC has been a nightmare. Rattling case when hard drive is switched on, having to adjust fans all the time manually through settings in software or using a fan controller, errors, BSOD's, OS reinstalls to fix issues - oh man reinstalls. They are a NIGHTMARE. I used to play RTS a lot like command and conquer but now I hate command and conquer. I LOVE frostpunk which is soon to come to PS4. But PS4 doesn't really have RTS. Frostpunk is so damn awesome. Then theres indie titles like Inside (Oh,,,, I just googled it and you CAN get this game on PS4), and that game I can't remember the name of right now and CBA to fire up my PC to get the name (on my macbook in bed right now) where you are a little guy and you find a machine which you have to put things into a thing inside the machine and it converts it to steam and you have to release the steam pressure or it damages the engine and you have to put out fires later in the game. The ending is the machine breaks down but you hear a foghorn of a large boat arriving. Not sure if that game is on PS4? OMG Firewatch and mirrors edge catalyst are being sold for £4 on PS4's site right now! I love those games. Makes the cost of moving to PS4 gaming cheaper as I have those titles on PC (than if they were full price at £16).
  7. Cost tends to be a big reason. I am at crossroads. Deciding on what video editing software I will use. Just downloaded FCPX and Vegas trials yesterday. Never edited before but have been filming for 5 years (long story) and am starting a YouTube channel. Love the LOOK of FCPX and from the 45 mins I used it (much of the time went figuring out how to do very basic things like import videos) I love the magnetic timeline. FCPX LOOKS so much better than Vegas. More modern and appealing. So if I choose FCPX then: I will be buying a Macbook Pro probably around £5,000 for the new model that will come out soonish hopefully. TV is old from around 2009.. 1080p Samsung 45inch(I think) so need a new TV so there goes £1,000. PS4+Games = £620 (not bad, the price of a GPU) New display for hooking the Macbook up to £800-£1,000 Other accessories for the Macbook such as USB hub etc £500.
  8. My PC is old. GPU died recently. Give me reasons why I shouldn't NOT build a new PC and get a PS4 Pro instead.
  9. Was this game designed for consoles? I read online that it plays better with a gamepad. Thanks
  10. Was this game designed for consoles? I read online that it plays better with a gamepad. Thanks
  11. Correct. Mr Pirate display photo. Get stuff the legit way. Support the devs. Making games takes it's toll on humans ya know. Spongeeebob.
  12. So then come on. Give the link for £18 SOTTR for PC.
  13. No they are not safe. Plenty of complaints about additional money being taken from bank accounts and the like. Only resellers and the official site/steam are places to buy PC games that are ALSO legal. CD key sites are 'grey sites. Additionally the keys from those grey sites MAY or may not work in time. Console games are far far far far far cheaper. £45 vs £8. Period.
  14. Exactly my point but this spongebob seems to think that cd key sites are safe.
  15. Did you> I don't recall yourself saying that, but you're shooting yourself in the foot by typing that.
  16. Provide a link that isn't a CD key website which are all dodgy.
  17. You don't NEED that unless you wanna play vs other online players. I play single player. I bet you can lay fortnite without needing ps plus.
  18. What monthly fees> You just buy a PS4 and buy the game. There are no fees wtf. You don't even need an internet connection probably. PS3 doesn't need one.
  19. DEALS. You have to be on the site at the right moment. I can get a PS4 new for £350 with a free game AND get all those games above at those prices TODAY. And tomorrow. And the day after. ETC. You can't get SOTTR for £18 on PC legit. With those dodgy CD key sites maybe. Console gaming freaking rules. Cheap as chips games, no need to wait for downloads as all games come on disc and I think you can get them digitally if you so please. PC games no longer are released on disc (can't find COD WWii on PC DVD/Bluray) and haven't budged in price. A 2070 Super GPU alone will cost almost twice the amount of a PS4; granted its much newer etc etc, but consoles get their games tailor made so don't need very beefy electricity consuming hardware to run them.
  20. Preowned prices for PS4 aren't that different to new prices for older titles. You cannot get those games used on PC as they are digital only as far as I am aware. PC gaming is MUCH more expensive than console gaming now. LONG LIVE CONSOLE GAMING.
  21. Yo. There are some INSANE prices. Let me explain. COD WWII, Shadow of the tomb raider, Detroit become human PC Steam: £45, £45, £30 PS4 Preowned game.co.uk: £8, £15, £20 What gives?! Why don't PC game prices drop as much as PS4's do?!
  22. This seems to be the general consensus that FCPX is easy to use. Heck even female teens use it to make videos for YouTube. Can't imagine them being able to use the other programs. Yes one of the benefits of the MAC + FCPX config. Will give it a try, but the issue is there is only so much I can learn in 30 days which likely will mean I won't be able to REALLY get a feel for each of the softwares. No way. Very unreliable and very few components work in that config. I didn't know about this. Any ideas when this will be released here in the UK? Is the iMac Pro base model a lot more powerful than the Macbook Pro? I see you have both a Macbook and a Windows PC. How are you managing external hard drives? I installed Paragon NTFS on my macbook but while it works, I am not sure I would fully trust it for daily work that I make an income from. As far as I am aware there is no format you can format a 10TB drive to that will work with both Mac OS and Windows? Thank you. EDIT: This just happened. I had Vegas running in the background and wasn't using it. I was using it earlier then I left my room so I put my PC to sleep. Came back hours later and just shortly after replying to you this happened (still wasn't using Vegas but it was open in the background with videos loaded into it): I only recently (yesterday) installed the old 8800 GTS and installed the drivers and GeForce Experienced for it. If that could potentially be the cause. I also only yesterday installed Vegas (I needed the 8800 GTS in order for Vegas to work, and it still doesn't work if I try to edit as the CPU isn't powerful enough which is crazy as my macbook is as old but it works with FCPX).
  23. I thought I was going crazy. It is SO damn annoying isn't it? I was like WTF WHY are you showing me stuff that is NOT what I searched for.
  24. Don't you think FCPX LOOKS the best? I am just getting started with video editing and have downloaded trial versions of FCPX and Sony Vegas, and FCPX looks SO damn nice. It's a huge dilemma for me because not only does FCPX look SO muuch nicer and that to me is VERY important as I will be editing videos everyday, but also right now I have my PC as seen in my sig (minus the GPU which died so I am using a 8800 GTS - I know ancient), but also I have a Macbook air from mid 2012 which defo is not powerful enough to edit videos errday from. I also LOVE the magnetic timeline having tried it for a bit today. I am JUST getting started so it's not like my 45 mins in Final Cut Pro X today were spent all analyzing the magnetic timeline. I couldn't even import straight away so I had to watch a YouTube video and found out you have to create a 'Library' first and only then can you import. In Vegas it was so straightforward. Then when you want to edit in FCPX you have to create a thing called a 'Project' to do so. With Vegas you just start straight away. A new Macbook Pro 15 inch with upgrades would cost £4,700 (I am from the UK) + new display £800 lets say. Would rather go mobile with an Apple product as here is the situation. If I go FCPX, then I won't build a new PC and will buy a Macbook Pro to edit and do everything from. A laptop because no Apple product can game so it makes no sense for me to get the iMac Pro when I have the HUGE advantage of the Macbook being a mobile device so I can edit and work from anywhere I travel. For gaming I would get a PS4 than a PS5 when that comes out. If I go the Sony Vegas route, I would build a new PC which would defo not be as reliable as buying a premade Apple product, and use that to game as well. I REALLY want to game but I can't anymore since my GPU died. Me cry. I have a PS3 but that has no decent games for it. It's ancient now. New PC would cost around £3,800 + new display £800 let's say. Also I have grown up using Windows so theres that. Ahhh the dilema. I love all good people.
  25. This is the annoying vibrating sound Cut .mp4
