  1. Also side note, should I always keep HDR and Auto HDR on in Windows settings or only when viewing HDR content?
  2. Haven't checked True Black 400 yet, I'll get back to you later. On a side note, bright pages get very dimmed as well and don't look as "white" and more beige. It's extremely noticeable in some games between 2 scenes how brightness is just drastically reduced. Horizon Zero Dawn is the game that has performed the best for me so far. In that game HDR makes dark spaces darker and bright spaces brighter, in a cave I can't see anything besides pitch black and crystals look brighter but when HDR is off I can see everything in the cave.
  3. When playing Ori Will of the Wisps its not AS bad but things still look washed out. HDR is on in Peak 1000 Nits mode (there is also a True Black 400 mode).
  4. I have, above image is the result after. Maybe I'm just not used to HDR but it looks more washed out and grayish?
  5. Hi! So I recently got a MSI MEG 342C and I've never owned a QD-OLED panel or HDR panel before so I don't really know what I'm doing. I enabled HDR and Auto HDR in Win 11 and turned on peak 1000 nits in my monitor settings. But I feel like HDR looks washed out and the colors don't look vibrant at all when in HDR mode. Am I doing anything wrong? I have attached screenshots of how the screen looks like with HDR On and HDR Off. HDR OFF: HDR On:
  6. Hi! So I'm in the market for a new QD-OLED 34" ultrawide and I don't really want to get the Samsung G8 as the warranty doesn't cover burn in and as far as I'm aware, the other 2 do. That leaves me with the 2 options of Alienware and MSI. The MSI is slightly cheaper where I am as I can buy it from my local electronics store whereas the Alienware I need to order and most likely will be harder to RMA. However, I'm not too keen with the MSI design. Although, it does have more features. Also might be worth noting that I do have a AMD GPU which may affect stuff like HDR performance so take that into account. Which one would you guys get? What are the pros and cons of both screens? Opinions?
  7. Budget (including currency): 20000 SEK. 2000 USD Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All. Other details I’d like to be able to play CyberPunk 2077 at max settings without fps drops, slow rendering or any form of lag. This will most likely be done at 1440p. I need a fully built computer including screen. I have keyboards, mice etc. Computer and screen is needed.
  8. Do you guys reckon its a faulty motherboard or CPU, because those are the only 2 things I’ve changed.
  9. Hi! When I turn on computer DRAM light blinks orange, computer won’t boot and graphics card won’t spin its fans. I’ve flashed BIOS, tried with one ram stick, all to no avail. What can be the issue? spec list: Ryzen 5500 B550 TUF Gaming Plus Fury Beast 2x8 Sapphire 6650XT CV650
  10. Gone a bit further. Put the old card into the new machine and the card spins, but doesn’t boot. Peripherals don’t light up either. However, same story with new card, but it doesn’t spin at all. But either way it doesn’t boot.
  11. So I recently purchased a graphics card a Sapphire 6650 XT and it doesn’t boot in my machine. However, it does boot in my old machine. They have the same power supply. Old one has 7700k and some old motherboard. New one has 5500 and B550 motherboard. The old graphics card also boots in the new machine but not the new graphics card. What can the issue be? Clarification: New card + new machine = no boot Old card + new machine = boot New card + old machine = boot Old card + old machine = boot
  12. Yea, XFX unfortunately doesn't exist in the store by me. They only have Sapphire/PowerColor. Which one should I go for?
  13. So a 6650XT shouldnt encounter any more issues than a 3060? Is the PowerColor or Sapphire brand any good? Not that well versed into AMD.
  14. Is there a difference in compatibility in games or performance etc? I feel like Nvidia is more mainstream and maybe is better/more optimized and less likely to encounter bugs?
