  1. Thanks for the reply. I was really looking to choose between the 7800X3D / 7700X. While I could save some cash using the RAM etc. that I already have, I ususally just flip the stuff that I have already and get some of the cash back for the upgrade. I sometimes host the occasional server if our dedicated stuff in our community goes down / doesnt want to play ball, so I like to have the headroom with RAM just to be safe hence the desision to run contiune with the ammount that I already have in the old rig. (we're running minecraft may off my PC at the moemnt and thats sat with 32gb allocated) I know this sounds like i'm trying to throw money away, but I've been given this as my present for myself from the mrs after a tough year or so, so would really like to treat myself.
  2. Budget (including currency): n/a Country: UK (england) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: lots of sim stuff, occasional ARMAIII, etc Other details: Buying soon, playing @ 1440p 175fps monitor. upgrading from 2600x & 1070ti. HI all, long time no see. Looking to upgrade my rig soon & have come across a little bit a of a hurdle. While the LTT videos are good, I need graphs and stuff to really be able to make a desision.. So I would like to know your opinions on what to get for my upcoming rig. I'm weiging up between the 7800X3D & 7700X - resion I am stuggling to make a desision: 7800X3D is opbiously faster ingame, however, the slightly higher single core clock speeds of the 7700X may do me better in X-plane / MFSF etc. I am looking to pair this with either a 7900XT or a 4070ti - both arround the same amount of money, i lean a little towards the 4070ti just because I've had Nvidia in all my builds, but i know that the newer AMD cards are looking very good. I've already got storage/periferals etc. Looking to get 2x32gig sticks of DDR5 @ 5600 C36. as I can look arround if you can suggest anything better to get.. Thanks for your help.
  3. Double checked that, all seems normal
  4. Right button works. Left does not. Audable click and I know it works as it will every now and then be able to use the mouse normally
  5. Yeah I know, but this was bought in 2015, its past its warrenty. And I'm 99% sure it's software/Windows related not the mouse
  6. Evening all. Been having a problem recently where my G502 won't be able to click on anything... I can move the cursor but am unable to click on any windows ect. All drivers and firmware up to date, not a problem with the mouse itself as far as I'm aware, all the buttons click nicely, it's been apart just to make sure all connections are right (and I gave it a good clean while it was apart) I am able to open the start menu with the windows key, I've tried unintalling and re-installing drivers, tried different USB ports, tried looking for errors in the Command prompt (can't remember the line I used as it was off a site with people with the same sort of problem) all to the same effect. (side note the middle click has Stoped working too so maybe it is the mouse) The only thing that has changed recently is I have a new headset (Logitech G633) Any help would be appreciated as I've not really got the money to go out and buy a new one at the moment. Thanks
  7. I recon this is the only problem and i was just being stupid .... Thank you anyway
  8. Hi all, bit of a problem, I recently got a new 1070ti 8gb from INNO 3D, it was cheap, yeah, but it was a reputable site (overclockers uk) came with warranty ect, ect. Was just playing a sim game and noticed it was lagging a lot for some reason. went into Afterburner and the 8gb card, is only using 3gb, but not that, it was saying it was pinned at 3bg (see pic attached) Never had this happen before (or so I have noticed) any recommendations or anything, I mean I've verified its an 8gb card on the box, and in dxdiag in windows 10, just seem to be at a bit of a loss Thanks
  9. Yeah it's been free for about a year now. I too bought it WAY back in the day when it had not long launched , never used another keyboard since really apart from the odd dabble with swype
  10. Apparently nothing will be changing on Android and IOS and it will still be offered free with timely updates. Interesting what could happen with it with Swiftkey being able to use Microsofts tech. It'll probably make its way into Windows phone as a stock keyboard shortly and maybe even some windows features, that would be cool.
  11. Swiftkey has been acquired by Microsoft to help with there mission "to enhance interaction between people and technology" Good news for Swiftkey and bad for the customer? You tell me, I'm not sold yet. Direct news link: https://blog.swiftkey.com/microsoft-acquires-swiftkey/
  12. CPU is fine and I don't have another spare to test it out on unfortunately. Will try the Compressed air though.
  13. So I recently bought a ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard second hand to replace my AsRock Z77 pro4 (as I need SLI and this one doesn't support it). It arrived this morning and everything looks in order. On closer inspection it looked like I had a pin bent in the bottom left of the socket so I had a fiddle and got it bent back without much trouble. But to my dismay I still cant get the thing to even show a post code, even connecting a speaker to the motherboard doesn't even put out any beeps. I fiddled around with RAM slots and sticks, video outputs (trying 2 different cards and the on-board display) and still nothing. The only way that I can say it is the CPU socket is that when booting up, the CPU led lights up red (for fault on this motherboard). If there is anything I should try to get it working before I flip it again would be appreciated. If nothing can be done its not a huge loss, I got it for £25 as "untested" on an ebay listing so I was expecting it to be as bad as it is. (link to the socket img as it is too big to upload http://puu.sh/itUlk/77b4cfad27.jpg )
  14. Hi, So I finally have the cash to upgrade my motherboard to something that supports SLI (currently have an ASRock Z77 Pro4) as my current one dose not support it. Now I know I am a little late to the game in ordering an new one but I really don't see the need in upgrading CPU to something newer as my i53570K is perfectly fine for me and what I do with my PC, but I really cant see anywhere that still sells LGA1155 Z77 motherboards. If anyone can help me find a good one at a reasonable price (in the UK might I add) that would be great VIV
  15. Hi all. I was wondering what the best motherboard that you can still buy (in the UK) that supports SLI for my 3570k. I currently have a ASRock Pro4 that I can't SLI with, and If I did a bit more looking forward in my build I would of gone for one that you could. Thanks
  16. Oh, YouTube videos load just fine on my phone in the HQ option so it must be something with my computer.
  17. Just the video + It's a wired connection to the hub (witch I have reset etc)
  18. I doubt it, i'm in the UK and it's pretty much not heard of here, but I suppose it's a possibility
  19. Hi all. So as of recent (past few days) my youtube is loading VERY slowly and I am pretty much not able to watch anything unless its on the lowest quality. I have tried clearing cache in Chrome with no effect, restarts are doing nothing and my internet speeds are compleatly normal (~37-40Mb/s down ~9 up) and it's the same story in IE. Any other streaming in HQ is compleatly fine though, maybe it's a thing on YouTube's side I don't know. I'm at a loss really and any help would be appreciated.
  20. There not too bad. There Corsair Airflow series fans and they do push a decent amount of air though and really aren't that loud even at full RPM that they are now.
  21. The build with everything in it is pretty heavy, but not so heavy that you stuggle to move it. I think that the main problem is that I don't like to handle the front of the case because of the aluminum plate and I don't want to stain it. Nothing that really jumps out at me that other cases have. If I was to be really picky, I would of liked to see two more USB ports on the front of the case, though the two USB 3 do look good and doesn't take too much space up. Maybe the H440's sound dampening, though that does restrict airflow quite a bit from what I have heard. Other than those two things, as I said, nothing really stands out to me.
  22. For anyone interested - http://imgur.com/a/qJzFr is a link to my build including new and improved cable management!
  23. I didn't think I would at first, but I do like it in person. I recommend having a look in person though. 750D though bigger has the cleaner look though it is bigger.
