  1. Hello everyone! Ive tried to figure this out for days and i cannot think of anything. So I have a GT683 and it has an i7 2630qm and i upgraded my GPU to a GTX 770m. From the very beginning, my CPU ran HOT (85C-92C) while gaming while the GPU, even under load, stayed at 65C-75C. I completely cleaned the heatsink, reapplied Arctic Silver thermal paste, and took off the back to try to figure out temps. I noticed that even though the fan was spinning, under max speed, there didn't seem to be much hot air coming out of the side vent but rather a little from the side and a little from the back. When I checked, the heatsinks were completely clear, no dust or anything. I ordered a new fan from a GT70 that is rated at .65amp compared to the .36amp of the stock cooler. I also noticed that my CPU is turboing from 2.0ghz to 2.5-2.6ghz the entire time so my question is, if I get an i7 2760qm which has a stock speed of 2.4ghz but keeps the same TDP of 45w, and everything else, will that allow the processor produce less heat because it can stay at that stock speed or turbo a little rather than having it turbo to its almost max? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? I do not want to get a cooling pad.
