  1. I mean, all RGB "software" behave the same, they only work when the software is running, i.e. not sleeping/during startup, unless you buy proprietary rgb hub like the corsair and cooler master ones, cuz they save their profiles somewhere inside the hub.
  2. If you use armory crate static profile, the settings will persist after reboot / sleep / armory crate uninstalled. It's just the aura creator profiles will only work when the software itself is running. My guess is that static color profiles are saved somewhere inside motherboard bios, but aura creator profiles are too big and complicated so they have to use software control. This is no excuse for bad customer experience tho.
  3. This has been a problem ever since aura creator came out. There's no solution right now.
  4. Well most of the none es 3000g I can buy in my region ends in FB, actually I cherry picked an FH to flash my gigabyte b450 Mobo bios. It seems like older (pre/early 2020?) 3000g end in FB. I'm tempted to buy an FB just to see how different they are. I don't trust software like cpuid but also not interested in delidding tho.
  5. According to some gigabyte cpu support pages, there are two different types of athlon 3000gs, part number YD3000C6M2OFH being Picasso and YD3000C6M2OFB being Raven Ridge. AMD seemed to freakin change architecture and call them both athlon 3000g... they are on different manufacturing nodes and will have different motherboard support. I wonder if their performance will be different, too. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10/support#support-cpu
  6. In case anyone still finds this thread, no I wasn't using any financing and didn't get any coupons/discounts.
  7. As a Chinese I can confirm that it is indeed from that WAN show. Some Chinese techtubers watched the show and spread the term (on Youku, Bilibili.com and baidu tieba/AMD) and all Chinese AMD fanbois now just screams it whenever possible.
  8. Ignore all craps below original: ~~If Steam is a storefront, do you have to show your ID when you try to grab a soda from your local convenience store?~~
  9. I believe they will verify it. I've used some software with education licence, while they can't access any student info, they do have the permission to verify if someone exists.
  10. But they are all TN panels, so hell no LOL. Now I'm thinking about buying an XPS 15. GJ Razer for forcing me to work more and game less.
  11. I mean it's the only laptop with a 144hz screen that is not MSI... I plan to use it for the next 5 years, so can invest a lot.
  12. I would say it is the bank's job to make sure it's the right people making the purchase. Literally any legit bank now has a `prove it's you` system for purchases in big numbers, and Razer is not even explaining what they are doing with it.
  13. That sound like Apple's excuse for downclocking your iPhone saying it's to protect your battery
