  1. What happens when you remove the battery and run the laptop while plugged in? It should still boot without the battery. Try running a few games without the battery. If you don't have any problems you probably need a new battery. Considering its dell a new battery shouldn't be too expensive.
  2. Yeah sorry, it definitely reloads. In the past few hours, if i try and force it to 1Gbps Full duplex, it will not connect via Ethernet. I've decided to give up and just buy a PCI NIC and hopefully that will sort it out. Thanks
  3. 10th May 2020: So i solved this now. I installed a new NIC (this one, works great). And was still getting the error. I then switched out the cable and this has solved the issue. TLDR: So I had a duff ether net cable. Hey, I've been dealing with this since i built the PC a few years ago. Scenario: I will be playing multiplayer on Battlefield 1, 4, 5 about 20-30 mins into a game my LAN connection will drop completely. Almost as if the port reloads. Only happens when i'm playing origin games. In all other scenarios of using the internet (streaming, web browsing, steam multiplayer games i.e. PUBG) i have no issues at all. I did find a temporary fix and that was to set my device speed to 10Mbps Full Duplex. I have tried in on 100 and 1Gbps full duplex but still the connection drops. The router stays working while my PC drops all internet connection. I have even tried rolling back the network driver to an older version i had. But still nothing works. I have disabled these device settings: - Energy Efficient Ethernet - Allow PC to power off this device - Wake on Magic Packet I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do now. Or how to investigate further. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Not sure how many of you need to draw network diagrams, i don't have any dedicated software to do it. As someone that works in networking but not in a technical aspect i found this site quite useful and intuitive. https://www.draw.io/
