  1. ah thank you, glad to have the reply from someone with a similar set up too, thank you again!
  2. #1 Hi guys, so i recently wanted to try my hand at overclocking, watched through various videos and guides before attempting, really all i wanted was to sit my 8700k at its turbo clock at all times, mainly just to test what the chip/myself was capable of in terms of temps to vcore. i currently have my vcore at 1.220 and is showing stable with no fluctuations in cpuz and hwinfo while running realbench stresser, temps sit between 65-72c with a recorded max of 75c. havent tried anything lower of vcore as it looked 'okay' to me so i though i would share here as someone more knowledgeable could possibly shine some light for me. really just wondering if this would be about right? any other info need please ask as i want to most informative answers i can get! thanks for your time. pc specs; -8700k @4.7ghz -Kraken x62 front mounted, 100% pump speed, x2 fans at 1200rpm roughly. -Aorus Extreme 1080ti -TeamGroup TForce Dark 3000mhz 16gb Ram -EVGA G3 750w psu. -3x Corsair case fans 1 rear ex, 2 top ex -2x nzxt front intakes.
  3. Thank you for that, i will give it a test with Prime95, good to hear everything else looks normal! also do you think 1.325 voltage could be lowered at all just to reduce the temps that bit more? thanks for the info my man
  4. Hi,I am fairly new to OC'ing so i went ahead and followed my motherboard info and numerous different tutorials to OC my 6700K from 4.2 to 4.5.i used the voltage of 1.325 and everything seems to be stable, tested my main game which is Destiny 2 for about 30mins to an hour, its runs with a load of 60-75% and the cpu's avg temp was around 55-65 which im told is very cool? if anyone else could confirm that it would be great. Also my only worry is that i noticed when first opening apps, browsers etc the cpu load will spike to around 50%-70% for just the split second which from what i know is normal, but at this time the cpu temp will also shoot up to 60-65 for that split second then go back down to the average 30-40 idle temp, is this normal?any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
  5. Tried with brand new DVI-D, DP and HDMI cables, no luck..
  6. So i have had this issue of what i would describe as screen tearing but it isn't as a far as i know. the lines will move up and down my screen when moving my mouse left and right, as far as i have noticed it only happens in games, no tears on UFO Screen Tear tester or youtube videos, have had it happen since Win 10 update 1803 but cant be exactly sure, it happened with my old pc (Specs below) so i assumed build a new pc (Specs Below) with every part bought brand new and the issue would be gone, was i wrong. Here is a video of my problem, i have capped my monitor at 60hz and the fps at 60 to properly show the issue, as at 144hz 144fps my phone does not pick it up so well: https://youtu.be/w1OvRqe9iHw -- this is a video of it being captured through fraps, the tear cant be seen: https://youtu.be/nGvs3S5emAo pc specs (Old) - i7 6700k Msi 980ti G1 Gaming Mobo Samsung 250 Evo SSD WD Black 1tb HDD G.Skill Tridend Z RAM 16gb 3000mhz XFX Black Edition 850W Windows 10 Pro pc specs (New) - i7 8700k EVGA 1070 Rog Strix z370-f gaming mobo Avexit RAM 16gb 3000mhz Samsung Evo 250gb WD Black 1tb HDD Corsair Gold 750W Windows 10 Pro Things i have tried: As stated a brand new pc build, a better build at that, so i can rule out my hardware. Also tried 3 different EVGA 1070's, a MSI 980ti and a Strix 1080 (a friend of mine builds pc's hence access to parts, he has also never seen this issue) Tried 3 Monitors, Acer Predator GN246HLB 144hz, Acer Predator X34P Gsync Enabled still "Tearing" and a Benq RL55HM 60hz. all tried using DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-Dual Link on each. Setting different refresh rates/fps, this either reduces or increases how noticeable it is depending on the game, some games the line is just a very fast moving single line rather than the lines in the video above. Have tried Low-Ultra settings in game, make no difference on what settings i use. My temps are always below 70, EVGA 1070 usually around 60-65, i7 8700K usually around 60-70. Can confirm enabling Vsync/Fast sync fixes it for some games but have never had to use it in the past it has always been fine, its a recent issue im having. If anyone has any help or know/seen anyone having the same issue please leave some feedback as i don't know what else i can do at this point. thanks for reading.
  7. UPDATE: i have since built a new pc, i7 8700K, EVGA 1070, all fresh new parts, still the same problem!!
  8. Fast Sync does seem to elimate the problem for some games but not all, and prior to about 3-4 weeks ago i have never had such a problem nor had to use any sort of syncing, im desperate for any help that can be given at this point.
  9. Newest Nvidia drivers, also tried rolling back 3-4 to when i remember it working perfectly and still no luck, also tried 3 different SSD's and a WD Black HDD, same issue.
  10. MY Specs: i7 6700K MSI GTX 980ti G.Skill trident Z 3000Mhz Ram Gigabyte G1 Gaming GA-170X XFX Pro850W PSU Corsair H115i Liquid Cooler Samsung NVME m2 SSD WD Black 2tb HDD Exact Issue Shown in video's below (From another post here in forums but not solved) Uncapped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZRw_6inKd0 Capped: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdNDGzTS11o Temps under load: CPU 35-50 Avg (60 Max) GPU 65-75 Avg (78 Max) So i have had a recent problem of screen tearing of quite a large amount for the past 2 weeks (from what i have noticed) its never been there before and i have never used vsync. i have tried vsync and it eliminates the problem but its not really an option to use as the input lag is too much of a factor, i have also tried a friends gsync monitor and 3 other monitors with different connections and still the exact problem persists. my friend also builds pc's so i got him to build me a complete fresh pc with brand new parts consisting of an i7 7700K, EVGA 1070, 16GB Avexit DDR4 3000mhz ram, Samsung SSD, Gigabyte G1 Gaming mobo and even there with a fresh windows an fresh game install its still persists.
  11. Same problem here, had it for about a week now, even built a brand new pc and the problem still persist, tried 3 different monitors, dp, hdmi and dvi. any help would be apprciated!
