So I managed to get some adware the other day and I decided that I would reset windows 10 OEM back to factory settings using the reset setting under recovery I think in settings.
I've agreed it can delete everything so I'm left with a computer with only the operating system and default apps and then left it for nearly 6 hours.
It's stuck with the rotating dots and the welcome screen then flashes to the blue update screen of windows saying "installing windows". Its been at 64 % for a good hour now and appears to be stuck in some kind of loop.
Does anyone have any advice on how to break the loop and get it to finish installing? Or is it bricked?.

Building a new one is proabably the way to go. I doubt he's going to be able replace some componenets and retain some parts while still creating a PC to his liking.
May work, idk. The guy didn't say what motherboard he had. If it's what I think it is then he can't run a better GPU any way, or at least a 750.

HP machines are just turds, you can't polish them but you can make a mess to shape it into something a bit better.
Sorry mate, your not going to be able to with the CPU or whatever GPU you get. CSGO is CPU intensive and even if you got a decent GPU to compensate its likely the bottleneck would just be too much. Upgrading won't work either as the socket aint even going to support an i3. (source: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1997723/cpu-lga775-socket.html)
Quite seriously your not missing much with CSGO you would have more fun picking up another hobby and probably get more out of it lol.
Mate thats not specific enough. If you need help try a program names CPU-Z. It'll give you everything but the PSU.
EDIT: This is to find the spec not whats compatible.
Your gonna have to give more detailed specifications than 2009 HP computer. The information I just gave you is based off my own 2012 HP OEM, so take from that what you will.
None. The HP OEM use horrific motherboards that are incompatible with 10xx series GPU and I don't know about AMD GPU's but the motherboard and PSU in those machines are dirt cheap. You should just buy a new system if you want to game, or a console.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention that the cases HP uses will not fit a full size GPU.
I'm only intending to create a NAS server initially, then go onto virtulisation, remote access, mail server, etc. Like I said before I just want to get some experiance with servers to seem more ideal for my uni course, hope it works lol.
