  1. Hey everyone, PC keeps freezing for some reason during varying amounts of time while gaming or browsing. Sometimes it’s 3 minutes and sometimes it’s 10. I’m not quite sure what the issue could be. Ran windows memory diagnostic and nothing is wrong. Ran corrupted file command in cmd; to no avail. Looking at temps from when it crashes mos rod the time the temps look fine and nothing seems to be throttling (I’ll include photos [here](https://imgur.com/a/NZL4LFj) ). All fans are running and don’t seem to be ramping up at all. Someone PLEASE help me. Soon after the Holliday weekend I’ll take it to a shop if I can’t fix this. 2. I was wondering if this upgrade I planned out would be a meaningful upgrade to my setup in terms of streaming. In looking at the benchmark numbers for it, I can't see too many differences, but I'm not very good with analyzing those to begin with lol. I was planning on upgrading my i5-8400 and H370M Bazooka to a Ryzen 7 2700x w/ a B450M Tomahawk. I also didn't really know if my GPU (Vega 64) would be a bottleneck if I went for a more recent Ryzen chip. I'd appreciate any help with this
  3. I'm sure many have had this question before but I am very curious. I wanted to turn Alexa's wake word to Jarvis, if possible, and change the voice to a similar voice to JARVIS from the Iron Man movies. Also, I was wondering if there was a way to change some of the responses to end in 'sir' or nuance JARVIS conversation words. If anyone knows how to do this in AWS somehow, please let me know I really would love to do this.
  4. Hopefully they do learn. Luckily, not much of a bad loss which is exactly what the seller wants. But, like you said, they can literally get their money back very easily. Pretty dumb of this seller.
  5. Guess you're right; some people just suck. Feel bad for those people who bought it.
  6. Yeah but I'd expect that from a freshly made account more so than one that supposedly has been on since 2000, according to his profile. He probably did this before but didn't get banned? Crazy to think about.
  7. Check out this eBay listing. An AMD Ryzen 7 2700X for $29.99. Clearly not real, despite his positive feedback. Almost 30 people bought this. What does the seller expect besides being forced to give the money back? How do these scammers do it? Is there something they do to actually keep all this money? https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-AMD-RYZEN-7-2700X-8-Core-3-7-GHz-Socket-AM4-105W-YD270XBGAFBOX-Processor/283219459588?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D447a5342ebb542448dceac03cf36f9b3%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D9%26sd%3D283219459588%26itm%3D283219459588&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A723aa9e8-d41c-11e8-9f4c-74dbd1802660%7Cparentrq%3A8fa01eac1660aa491eae9142fff88de4%7Ciid%3A1
  8. Here's the question we all know and love to hear every year. Obviously it's not out yet and I understand that. However, from what we HAVE seen so far, should the cheaper prices of the 8700k and Z370 motherboards warrant not upgradint to the 9700k for perhaps marginal improvments? A lot of deals are around as October 19th approaches I wanna know everybody's opinion.
  9. Best piece of advice so far. That's most likely what I am now gonna do. Thanks.
  10. Mainly gaming and rare streaming applications.
  11. It's funny, I didn't expect to be ridiculed as much as I did but I guess I deserved it. My thought process was that I would sell my 8400 and mobo and only be out a total of around 30-40 dollars for better performance and a capable overclocking cpu. Hopefully I can flip it.
  12. Hyper 212 Evo but I was also planning on probably getting an AIO.
  13. So, I wanted to upgrade to a "k" version of a CPU as, right now, I have an 8400. The CPU isn't terrible at all but I just wanted to be able to overclock and get slightly better performance. I saw the cheapest ad for a 7700k over all of the others for $250. I bought it. I later realized it was probably a not great buy considering I could've bought an 8600k for for the same, if not less. How much of a performance difference is there. I know there is 2 less cores than even the CPU I have now. How much will I notice these things? I hate myself lmao.
  14. Just like most people trying to buy a GPU I guess. Perhaps more consistent frame rates and more VRAM to be able to crank graphics settings in games.
  15. Obviously we know that the Vega 64 is a fiend in terms of power consumption and heat output. However, I was wondering if it was worth it in the end. How bad will it throttle? The Vega 64 I am getting seems to be one of those single fan designs unfortunately. Link to card: https://www.powercolor.com/product?id=1503544206 My case doesn't necessarily have what I'd consider to be fantastic air flow. I would've considered upgrading to a Nvidia card. However, I have a FreeSync monitor. I do not want to go through the hassle of buying a more expensive card, monitor, and selling the ones I have. I am getting a GREAT deal on the Vega btw.
  16. Yeah that's one thing that has scared me if the heat output. Not sure how I feel about that to be honest.
  17. Like I said, I am buying the card for $200 and giving him my RX 580 which can be an additional $120-150. His original asking price was 350. I am also buying the power supply off of him for $70. So $270 plus whatever he sells that RX 580 for.
  18. Yeah I'm considering it. It just seems like such a great deal for only $270.
  19. That's funny I didn't know that R6S is like the game I play most right now lmao.
  20. Not sure. I am about to ask the guy now. It seems like he is very knowledgeable and nice enough to where it probably wont be some no name trash. At least, I hope.
  21. Definitely an RX 580 I believe it's more comparable to a GTX 1060 than a 1050Ti.
  22. I currently have an RX 580 and i5-8400 with 16GB of RAM. I wanted to upgrade my GPU and I was wondering, before I bought it, if an i5-8400 will pair well enough with the Vega 64. I know it's comparable to a GTX 1080 and I was going to buy a Nvidia card but I remembered I have a FreeSync monitor. I don't really want to go to the trouble of buying the card, selling the monitor, ordering a new one and waiting for so long without a good monitor to pair the new card with. Anyway, I found someone on Craigslist who is going to sell me a 750W power supply and the Vega 64 for my RX 580 and $270. Seems like a great deal. What do you guys think?
  23. Forgive my lack of knowledge on this topic. I am hopeful to learn more here. However, from my understanding, more vRAM is better. For example, a GTX 1060 6GB card is better than an RX 580 4GB card, in my mind. However, as I've shown friends, and people on the forum, a few possible builds I have been considering (A i5-8400 and RX 580 4GB build or a Ryzen 1500X and GTX 1060 6GB build), they have been telling me that the i5-8400 build with an RX 580 4GB is better. Why is that? How different are the cards and what makes less vRAM better for a system only running with 8GB of RAM? In my mind, the bigger the buffer between vRAM and RAM, the better which is why I assumed the GTX 1060 would've been the way to go. Someone care to explain to someone new to the space? I am trying to pick the best build for my budget and the video card clearly is a focal point I would think. With that being said, which one would you guys recommend?
